Great topic! This helps with argumentative people - not to change their mind but to give me peace. I could just laminate the list and carry it with me, lol.

"If you have friends you'll spend more time with them than me. I don't at all think you will abandon me, but even one second you spent with a friend rather than with me is MY second! You cannot have friends because that is MY time!"
I've heard it put that narcissist fear rejection rather than abandonment (indeed they think you're always there for their benefit) and I think it fits here as well.

Love it because I'm an empath but also scrutinize almost everything with logical reasoning. Not only narcs do these things...so many other people do too. Like a scourge imo. How about putting forward an opinion AS IF its fact or true. I see that all day long. In their minds opinion is fact. Uh, no it isn't. And huge sweeping 'absolute' generalities which actually can't be proven true or false, because its too general. "Men are pigs". "The American people want this, don't want that, blah blah Blah." The bandwagon...yup...I know someone who thinks the bigger number of people agreeing about something MAKES it true. Most people agreed the earth was flat once...did that make it true? Agreement has nothing to do necessarily with truth.

Critical thinking seems to be in short supply at this point in time

The fallacy fallacy wasn’t quite right. It is this: you commit a fallacy therefore your entire argument is wrong. The explanation is that just because you have a fallacious argument does not mean that your claim is false. Example: I know the sky is blue because everybody knows the sky is blue. The claim “the sky is blue” is true but the rational is a fallacy.

Childish Shallowness is the frustrating root cause of all of these. Grow up!
