- we are organizing our selves for the spring season!!! Did not expect to have a phone call about a foal so quickly.
so lets go check the Main herd of feral horses.
this herd has the most mares and stallions in it.
let me know:
how many foals did you count?
how many stallions did you see?
how many mares do you see?
how many very pregnant mares do you see?
thankyou Ruko-toy for the drone!
plus they have given us a discount code for anyone interested in purchasing a drone:

how cool is that
What a great way to search for abandoned foals and to keep an eye on that herd!
Nice how you view the herd with the drone without disturbing them. They seemed totally unaware of the drone and certainly weren’t frightened by it.
Probably thought it was some sort of bird.
love how haws in ab use drones like this, too
It’s nice there is a foal who doesn’t need rescuing. 😊
I used to put out salt blocks for our wild herd outside of Albuquerque, but I never knew about abandoned foals. Wonderful work you two!❤
That white mare is huge. She's close.
She is enormous. I wonder if she is carrying twins?
Possibly
@@kimmyframptonhopefully not. Twin pregnancy in horses don't go smoothly in most cases
Thanks Candice and Jordan, the drone is a wonderful tool!
Love seeing this view.
I could watch this all day! I love how careful you are about not scaring them
lol I have to watch it 2 I need to know the end
That is pretty cool video! Nice job.
The bay with the white markings smelling the manure pile is most likely a bachelor stallion!
I think it's so cool how you guys check on the wild horses 🐎 with drones. I also like watching a guy in Canada 🇨🇦 put on TH-cam for a wild herd his family watch after. I wish others from other states do the same.
Love to kno what channel that would be.
Look up HAWS
www.youtube.com/@WestSpirit ?
Was going to suggest getting a drone. It would make searching easier and more comprehensive. Good for you😍😍
Pretty wild horse herd! Did we determine that the white foal belongs to the sorrel mare? The drone is a valuable instrument!❤️😀🐗🐎
Great viewing.....thank you for sharing and you are handling the drone well..
Yes Candice has a very sturdy hand.
Thanks for all you guys do!
Did find the mom to your new lost baby?
That is so tough for young mares to be driven off by a stallion or young goofy boys trying to the next stallion.
Poor mama. Glad you saved the little girl.
Have you decided on a name ? Something from the area she was found to give her a family name!!
So amazing! I hope all the foals will be delivered and accepted 💜🐎🐴
Great views of the heard, it will help locate babies as well 😊❤
That was a brilliant video I really enjoyed it, thank you x.
What a great way to check on the herd and watch for forgotten babies !!!
I could watch this all day ❤
Dang! I was really getting into that chase. LOL. Wanted to see what was going to happen!
Drones are so helpful in looking at things one wouldn't be able to see in any other way! The sorrel mare definitely is the mom of the lying down foal. It looked like there were at least three very pregnant mare. I watched a second time to look for any foals I may have missed. I'm not sure but there may have been one with the two mares on the left side of the picture when the gray band stallion started chasing the dark stallion. It will be interesting to learn what other people observe!
OMG, is this wild herd w/n sight of town?!
Yup
@4:31 mare in the back looks just like the baby same head. Skinny.
So great you can use the drone to keep an eye on the herd. I was also glad you were checking on the foal since sometimes things can be deceiving. Great job!!
All the white horses must be Ranger's relatives.
Beautiful ❤
It's fun to guess who could be related to your feral foals. The stallion adding to the stud pile looks like Smoky, Sage, etc...the White mare has Rangers head. ❤
LOVE your videos! GORGEOUS scenery to go with the gorgeous horses! The baby is beautiful!
I'm not sure if this suggestion is possible but if you can mix flax seed into a grass mix to sprinkle over any area you can get to . Once it gets started it protects from drought and over grazing.
My wife and I spent several winters in AZ and I always wanted to see some wild horses but that never happened. Saw plenty of burrows though.
Must be minerals/salt in that soil the horses are on, like the Mountain Goat licks in Glacier Park
Stallion chasing the other one.
Great video
Is there water nearby for them to drink ? ❤❤❤
Nice drone footage. Thanks for sharing
Is the herd fairly isolated? Just wondering if theyre all inbred which may lead to the abandoned foal annual problem.
Did you finally discover if the sorrel is actually the resting foal's mother?
hello 👋 from Arkansas 😊
This is so great . I j7st found your sight . Thank-you so much for sharing .
Love the drone view!
Where is this area in Canada? It’s beautiful.
South central BC.
So a question I’ve not seen or heard of stallions being by or around a birthing mare. I’m guessing there is a reason? They want to protect or mount her?
I was watching another wild herd video and as soon as this mare dropped her foal the bachelor asses started attacking her (I guess to mate with her). She was trying to fight them off and protect her brand spankin’ new foal and she almost stomped on him. It was scary and sad to watch her. She kept circling the foal to fight them off and finally others from her herd came and chased them off.
Where do they find water out there?
I was wondering the same thing !!
That mare was huge wonder if she's having twins
What happened with the baby laying down!
Why isnt the mare standing over her baby,?
All wild horse herds in America are being managed.
Managed? By whom?
@@maxwellsmart0217 All known wild horse herds on public property in the U.S.A. are managed by the Bureau of Land Management under the direction of the Department of the Interior!

where r these wildies? great pics with dr one.
South central BC.
@@ronmccabe7164 I am in Alberta, hopeing to see some wildies this year
look at the ground all the grass is gone. All they are being selected for is ability to get pregnant. When the store runs out of hamburger remember you wanted this.
Daddy of new foal ?
Did you go back and get the foal?
It feels like that foal has been laying down due awhile?
It would be awesome if these herds could be managed. Spring would be ideal for separating the stallions from the mares-geld some, and release them back on the range after the foals are dropped. Are these your animals, tribal, or feral/ federally claimed?
5:56 is it legal in Canada to chase wildlife with drones?
Following is not illegal. If you knew anything about horses you would know that the bay/brown horse was being chased off by the grey horse. It is also not illegal for one horse to chase off other horses bc they are not wanted 😂
I think that was a stallion chasing off another one at 5:56
They are obsdrving, not chasing. They are high enough that the horses don't even know its there. They are not one bit bothered.
That stallion was chasing the other one away from his mares, natural behaviour in a wild herd🤗🤗
Was that baby alive?
I can't help but notice the drone operators thumb nails looking unhealthy🤷🏻♀️ other than that I truly love seeing the horses in a natural environment 👍 and aren't they beautiful 🥰
Looks way better than it did a few months ago.
What a petty thing to comment. Those are working hands!
Do you like people pointing out your flaws?
Is that a foal lying on the ground? Is it okay? Hoping it is. Thank you for sharing and caring. 🤗🤗
It was sleeping😊
@@rebekahphillips7 Thank you rebekah.
