This is amazing! Inside a compound! if place correctly. This could put a stop to door camping and laddering up. Also acts as a early raid alarm. Seeing as how these turret pill boxes would have to be taking out before you could start the raid on any base. AWESOME! Thanks for the vid.
The best use of this design would be a semi circle with two squares next to each other, separated by two triangle foundations and a square in the middle so they are 90 degrees apart then put a silenced bolt in each pod and have it facing inward to your compound on 3-4 sides and the back connecting to an external TC. The opening is the middle square between the two square pods which opens to a compound bedroom and in the back a small path around to each pod to reload and reset turrets. then build the back part flush on top so you can put metal barricades on while still having the roof tile covering each pod.

Especially if you set up electricity circuits so the turrets can be turned on remotely with your phone via the rust app. Then you keep them off until most of the raiders are pouring into your compound and suddenly remote start them to wipe the attackers and steal their kits/boom before they can respawn and come back.

The top part could be higher and you could build ramp peaks and integrate it itno a china wall in a large clan base instead of compound pods. invisible, shielded bolt turrets holding back zergs at the china wall before they can even get close to into your innerpeaks or ladder up your roof. that would be fun.
Hello, i am very proud today i learned these turret pods, i builded both the 180 and 360 Turret Pod. But i have one Question, the Slit often is too big so you can rocket in easily, and i dont know what exactly i do wrong. I think there is 2 Solutions, somehow doing somthing different with the hight on the beginning triangle foundations, or raise the Free Handed Bunker higher i guess. If anyone has a better tip welcome
My homie plays rust and he used this. He built multiple of them around the corners of his base and then complemented them with turrets facing towards his base supposedly its been hard for anyone to do much
Just built this in a build server. All looks correct compared to the video, but when the turret aggros, the bullets hit the "hanging over" part of the roof. Is this result part of the new building update?
My group and I tested this out on the vanilla server yesterday, we absolutely love it! Took heli outside and people kept on running up and getting killed. It was hilarious, I did a gatehouse design where you build a flat surface over the slanted roof and put metal barricades, then on the left and right side instead of slanted roof I used half holes with roof triangles and left the back side open for two more turrets facing the opposite direction, make it work as a gatehouse. I was going to ask though, if you have a large clan base design, is there a good way to connect it to make it a gatehouse? I figured out that you only need one side to have the triangle frame on the foundations, and you can do the other side with doors to walk through it, I just don't know how to get it lined up with the large base and have the foundation connect.
Youre building the one i showed in the video? So, i believe this is happening because youre initial floor stack foundations arent placed correctly. if theyre off just a little youll run into that issue.
This is so god love it!! I find it difficult if I have a main base and make a gate house and then make this as an extemel gate house instead of the normal ones. Hard to explain. But when I normally do my external tc with gate house and turret in. It would be nice to be able to do this as the gatehouse. is it possible ? I mean is it possible to build it from my main base like when you normally make a gatehouse/external tc.
No not patched. Just remember what terrain youre building on. The biggest factor is the square hatch. If the gun has to shoot through the hatch it wont work. So if youre on flat ground. you need to place the turret lower. if your turret is a full wall up. the turret needs to be placced higher. Also make sure your freehand foundation is low enough. try going lower than I did and see if it helps

I Kinda showed it. You can put some doors on the side. Honestly Id have to make one and put some time into it. I kinda just threw the external idea out there. It's possible for sure.
Why wouldnt you be able to build it back? They would have to destroy all of the foundations. I was on atlas and got raided before i could turn the turrets on and I was able to rebuild no problem. Theyd have to destroy all the low foundations. If you have 1 left you can rebuild
Only way turret is unbreakable is to sail it off. If turret can shot it can be broken. Same us pixel bunker. To break the turret you need horse and a spear just run fast in a corner where turret is the slowest.
When I tried, I wasnt able to get the rockets to dmg it unless i was close. but id imagine if the gap is wide enough it would dmg it. I wonder if you move the turret back a half a foot if it will be dmged

Me and booboo did it in a 5x server and it absolutely pissed everyone off. We also made a 1 pod version in vanilla on a road and people also hated it.
Pretty cool but if I came across that I would quickly know I can’t get close to it so I’d either raid it or avoid it.

its probably possible, but we'd need to first figure out how to get the correct height for your floor stack with and already existing building.
