"Eternal father, strong to save"
British hymn, 1860, adopted by Royal Navy and then others.
Sung at my granddad's funeral (served RN WW1 and WW2) and my father's (Royal Marines Commandos 1946-1968)
Thank you all for your service. God bless.
Beautiful Kathy........thank you......from Australia.
Les Griffiths
Thank you Les. Great subject matter. Our gratitude goes out to all those who are dedicated to keeping us safe, and to all who have made the ultimate sacrifice to do so.
@@KathyEasler As an Australian, this hymn is most apt as we remember those young Americans who lost their lives in the Battle of the Coral Sea which included the loss of the USS Lexington.......which we commemorate every year in North Queensland where I live.
Les Griffiths
@@lesgriffiths8523 Thankfully Australia was not isolated during that battle. America lost so much, and the help from Australia and the commemorative held each year is important to all.
Beautiful! ❤️
Thank you for your kind comment. Have a great day.
In Galveston, Texas this hymn is sung every September 8 by a choir. September 8 in the anniversary of the Great Storm of 1900
I didn't know that. Thank you Tony, for your comment. Have a terrific day.
@@KathyEasler Thx

Thank you for your service. We are so grateful.
It’s real name is “ for those in peril on the sea”. I
Thank you. Yes, it is known by many names, variously referred to as the Hymn of His Majesty's Armed Forces, the Royal Navy Hymn, the United States Navy Hymn (or simply The Navy Hymn), Eternal Father, Strong to Save and sometimes by the last line of its first verse, "For Those in Peril on the Sea".

And don't we forget to mention, this was the Sunday morning choral on board of the Titanic, April 14th 1912. Whenever it is played, i enjoy this beautiful song. Thanks a lot for this video! Greetings from Germany. 😊
@@shainanndragon9014 Thank you for sharing this. And it is my pleasure to post this very meaningful video. We are so grateful for the protection of our armed forces.
Put on God armor so you will face the evil rules from the book of Luke.
