That reminds me of how my 1970 Daytona started. This one sounds slight shade better. It's much prettier with the real paint job. I would be so, so happy to have a garage in this bike together to ride. I still have the Super Glide I bought from the Harley dealership in 2009. It's a lot of bike but I could never forget how much I would enjoy screaming around the back roads with the sound and handling of this model Triumph. I had the 650 Triumphs and a couple kinds of 750s, too! Without a garage now the idea of me owning this vintage bike is highly improbable, other than my drooling memories of one!
I've ridden this bike back in the 70's, all I can say is , it was the best ride of my life. It was very quick of the mark, light and easy to handle, just perfect for UK roads. Will Triumph ever bring this bike back to life?
I had one, reg number VWY 48L, bought in November 1974, sold to a mate in 1978. Still miss it!
