I’m a semi retired Harley Mechanic. Most of my career was vintage bikes. This video put a smile on my face.

Another great video. Dick Shepherd has an absolute encyclopedic knowledge of these old Triumphs. It fantastic that he's collected together so many significant Triumph bikes. I'm glad your channel just let's him tell the story.
Think the Triumph bike night has relocated to Gaydon tonight, sadly a bit far for us but well done in giving us a look around.

How interesting. I didn't realize that Triumph T100s had a bushing timing side main bearing, I thought only BSA twins had that. Anyhow, great report - I saw Buddy Elmore race an H-D Sprint "R" against a friend of mine who was riding a Ducati FIII in San Angelo, Tx. They were going great guns until rust in the Ducati's fuel tank plugged up the works and retired after a crash. 1962 IIRC.

I’d pick this over any modern sportbike

Wow what a fantastic achievement. A really great bike and a proper classic in every way. A British bike at its best.

Legendary engine there, it was apparently running very strong still after the daytona win, despite the e.t coils.

I worked with one of Harry Woolridge's lads, in the late 70's; at the time I rode a Les Williams Slippery Sam Replica, he rode a works Rob North framed Rocket III and his brother a Hurricane, happy days.

Growing up with British bikes I really enjoyed this video. Would like to see the 3 cylinder Trident road racers.

Great interview! Beautiful bike for sure. LOL, "heavily tuned", like the XR750's were "lightly tuned"?

That bike was purchased from my mother in Oro Grande, NM.. Buddy Elmore was her first husband.

Proud that I own a 94 Super3 Daytona made in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Sadly most Triumphs now made in Thailand, covered in British flags to make them look British!🙁

Yeah ! I know Dick and he IS a friend of mine. I helped him out about a year ago when some guy “purportedly” had a famous “class C” bike TRIUMPH “Factory” bike. So I asked around here in the “Colonies” with a bunch of my buddies that were on TRIUMPH’S back in the heyday. And it turns out that this guys stories HAS MORE HOLES IN IT than a wheel of Swiss Cheeze. So, if Dick says he has “THE” such n such bike from wherever, you CAN BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR that……..THATS WHAT HE HAS !

And YES ! This bike even has the “proper” grips on it. For some Un’Godly reason TRIUMH decided that their 66’ models autta have “white” grips ! “Go Figure” , huh !

Unfortunately this is not the Buddy Elmore Daytona winning Triumph. Like previous comment this story had more holes in it than Swiss Cheese. Bike is in the U.S. with all documents to prove, with the Daytona winning trophy, Daytona winning checkered Flag , original Daytona winning leathers. And the bike and much more . Also the back up bike which is listed on the Daytona entry list. This bike in the video is so so WRONG..Swiss cheese!!!!
