Awesome. I look forward to seeing them. I’ve enjoyed your other postwar videos you have posted very much. I started out with modern equipment, and picked up a 2343 set for mainly display a little over a year ago. The postwar bug bit with them, and it’s been downhill since lol. Can’t get enough of em now. The modern stuff sits now, as the golden oldies roam the track.

I have a shop in Norton Ohio and also sell on Ebay it is just easier with payment and things. Glad you like the videos and you found the magic in the older equipment . Don't over look the MPC era 1970-86 that is some great stuff and good prices … Have a great Holiday Season...

I wish I could visit! Unfortunately it’s a bit of a hall from here in FL. My folks Live in MI, may have to try and make a day trip next time I’m up visiting. The train community is pretty dry here sadly. Model train stuff is few and far between. I do like a few of the MPC stuff, but can’t lie.... I’ve become a bit of a postwar snob lol. Anyways thanks again, and same to you. Happy holidays.

The steam chest on the 64 version of the 773 lacks the valve gear guide on the upper portion of the chest, also the water scoop on mine is installed correctly, scoop forward.

One of my favorite trains. Isn't there another difference between the 50s Hudson and 60s Hudson being a small piece on the casting coming off the steam journal in the front? Also, didn't Lionel put the water scoop on the tenders backward when the tenders left the factory? Great review, thank you for sharing. Thumbs up.

    These 773s rn are at like 500-$700 w a engine & tender!
Does the 2056 use the same body, drivetrain & everything just a different number?
I was looking at some pics & they look like they have different size drivers, but wasn’t sure cuz the 2056s are much cheaper than the 773s.

The 2056 is based on the casting of the 736, it just has a different wheel arrangement and boiler front

a 736 is just as nice and not a rip off
