A wonderful song so very well sung, love the backing singers in the bridge, yes that fade out sounds fantastic. His version of 'Our Favourite Melodies' is excellent too.
This Song brings me Emotion back from the Time i was in Love ❤. Your Wonderful Ballad and Great Video, are very what i write above. Thank You Very Much for Posting my Friend SirBasildeBrush. I Wish You and Family a Blessed Sunday ❤
Such emotion from Ms. Cortese in this clip you've put together Sir B! Simply broke my heart just watching it. I'll have to track down a showing of the movie to see the whole thing. Nice song by Mr. Criss with great backup building to a full finish. I detect some channeling of Sam Cooke at work here too. 😥📽
Got to check this movie out last night. Beautiful backdrop of the Dolomite mountains and even some scenes in Venice. Ms. Cortese was excellent in her debut performance on her way to a fine career. Such emotion! 👍🏻🎭
@@robmcc3819 Pleased to hear that. I only just discovered the film a few days ago, a lucky DVD find in a charity shop. You'll know that husband and wife in the film were real life husband and wife - the UK's very own Ida and Howard. You'll also have guessed that the farewell scene on the train is destined for a SirBasil....
Charity shops can yield the most interesting items sometimes. I wasn't aware of Ida and Howard's connection, thanks for the information. There's certainly something about train station goodbyes in your psyche Sir B. I look forward to it.
What a Beautiful Song ❤️ Thanks for the upload ..
...truly. Delighted to share this gem with others.

Yes, this one's a real gem - just like '..Melodies'. Somehow, I'll often end up switching between them when humming them to myself.
Another great song! Thank you, Sir Basil! ❤
...one of the best! Thanks.
Ohhh,der Titel ist sooo süss...Dankeschön...
...it's a wonderfully evocate title. Still works if you swap the words around in the title..

Certainly, it's a powerful moment as the song crescendos - then fades - as the camera pans in on a heartbroken Valentina.

V G .As you say great fade out
Delighted! The song builds and builds to give that perfect wall of sound at the fade out.
I don`t know where you find these songs from Sir but they are simply brilliant.. And the film clips are inspired. Another gem of a post.
Thank you. This song I discovered on You Tube, way back in the early days. Delighted I finally found a film clip worthy of it.
👌👌👌
...and baby wouldn't you know..
Took me a few minutes to recognize those familiar lyrics. Another favourite, both Gary's and Craig's versions.
@@SirBasildeBrush Gary's version was the first I heard ... can't tell which one is better 🙃
@@bisindie5470 Didn't discover Gary until You Tube arrived.
You have found it...!!!
...took a while, but it's here.
love it - what film is this?
"The Glass Mountain"
