Yeah Griffin's are fairly Squishy. Even the 2N has a problem with all the Ammunition in the Right Torso. When Fighting a Griffin if you can take out it's right Torso, then it's effectively unable to so anything but Chase you around and melee, but if your Right torso gets Taken out, there goes all your weapons.
Reynard received a posthumous promotion to both Duke and Major. A statuette of a Bronze Griffon with a shield was set in the mess room in his memory. Charybdis and Kanaloa spent a great deal of time (45 and 83 Days respectively) in the medical facilities and received High accolades for their willingness to sacrifice themselves in the cause. After the war they Retired and set up a Hawaiian-themed Hotel and restaurant using their pension money. Commander Catalyst and any members of her crew have a reserved bungalow and invitation to the Twice Nightly Luau in the main Courtyard.
If the Enemies have LRM's and are hitting you without you seeing them, Never hurts to Sprint up gain some evasion and Close the distance. They are going to shoot you anyway, might as well make them earn it and Lessen the time till they are in range.
And this is why we have this expensive Star League Sim pods to run Scenarios to determine mission viability.
