  • One time Labour Party loser leader and EU commissioner Niel Kinnock on the Labour party predicted to wipe out the Conservatives and become the new government with a supermajority, where Keir Starmer will be able to do what the fuck he likes, just like his idol Adolf Hitler.
Recorded from ITV1 London HD, Election 2024 Live The Results, 04 July 2024.

John Smith would have been the best Labour leader we never had.

@@vincentvangogh8092 I don't think you understand the word centrist. In reality it means right wing. Yes, John Smith was on the right of the Labour Party but Labour was way to the left of what it became once Blair took over in 1997 and accepted Thatcherism by yanking it to the right. By today's standards John Smith would be on the same page as Corbyn and other left wingers on many issues. Corbyn has been demonised as hard left ( a misnomer) but by any objective standard offered nothing more than moderate social democracy.

Can anyone explain the difference between Kinnock, Blair, and Starmer?

    Labour vote:
    2019 - 10,269,051
    2024 - 9,614,084
This 'extraordinary majority ' is built on a foundation of tissue paper that will collapse rapidly and catastrophically.

It will be interesting to see the turnout because I imagine there will be a significant drop that more or less illustrates the win is more a result of people not voting.

Your observation is right ... however, it is people who support the Conservatives, they have chosen to stay at home.

@@merseydave1 I'm seeing that it's an overall 7-8% drop in turnout after several elections of increased turnout. So it's one of the most shambolic elections in UK history.

And Kinnock is quite right about misconduct. But "entirely dependable and grown up guy"?!? What was that about Europe? Reform - they haven't been given the chance to start to solve the problems. All solutions at a high level sound simple, and might the genius be in the simple?

Starmer will be turfed out and corbyn will be welcomed back and take his place.
The skulduggery will be taking place when starmer is discussing biology with his wife while tucking into his brisket at 6.30 Friday night
