I have heard about that Toool kit but haven't seen it in action. Thanks for sharing the process and tools. It worked well with your mod on the cut numbers. 👍😎
Thanks for watching, as always! The tool is brand new, and I ordered it the first day it was availible.... but it did have to ship all the way to Germany from the US, and it sat in the post office for nearly a week because I was too lazy to get down there and wait in line forever (and bitter about having to pay a 6€ service fee to pay 1.70€ import tax.... oh Germany!).. so I assume some others have had a chance to play with it before today, but not many and I haven't seen any other videos of it "in the wild" yet.
I have the cutting tool from the red team tools. It’s good & sharp so no difficulty cutting through the key. Urs seems to be just barely pushing through with a lot of effort.
I picked 3 Master Lock padlocks in a short amount of time using an M1/MS2 Lishi tool. The Lishi cut numbers I gave to my local locksmith didn't work. I appreciate someone made a video that addresses this issue. I was wondering how you determined that you had to add 1 to each pin setting to cut a key that worked. Did you impression a key to fit a lock you picked with the Lishi and then compare the Lishi numbers with the numbers of the key that actually worked?
No los vendo y no tengo ninguno para enviar. Los archivos de la impresora 3d están en la descripción y puedes descargarlos gratis. tal vez puedas encontrar a alguien con una impresora 3D cerca de ti.
Nice work, I don't see myself going through the purchase, the key cut position looks nice, but I go a different approach to mark pin/chamber position on a blank and then go through the process of hand filed method. I'm still in my neanderthal stage 🤣🤣🤣
It’s pretty pricy for what it is for a hobby (the red team tools) - there is a similar product called proxlock sold on ebay at a similar price that I would also want to try out (and maybe their design is better?) - proxlock also has many different keyways and red team just has the one right now.
Lishis are great for decoding but I believe a traditional locksporter should not use them for picking in fact I usually don't watch lishi lock picking very cool kit
I agree 100%... I have a video all about why I don't like Lishi for picking locks... I think I mentioned it in my video (or maybe in one of the 20 takes it took me to actually get the lock open with the Lishi... I hate that thing!)
If you look at the thumbnail of this video you can see the cutters have a green sticker on one side. This picture I borrowed from the red team tools site. My cutters do not have this sticker. I have looked for other pictures of this tool and it's difficult to find any that have this sticker... I am unsure if my cutters are genuine or not, they were ordered from Ali Express, so the chance they are knock offs is high. It could really be that my cutters are not calibrated perfectly because they are knock offs... it could be that my key blanks are slightly off (those are ordered from ebay)... it could be the templates are off... we're talking really small fractions of an inch here, so anything is possible. I'm looking forward to hearing others experiences... I'm glad I figured out a work around, I guess if I have a 9 cut I'll have to file a little bit.... but overall I'm super impressed that it worked :-)
This tool is created by a company called red team tools, you have to google their website. Unforunately it's been out of stock for months. I have also designed a free to download 3D printer file of my own design that is similar, you can find it on the thingiverse website by searching for "Lishi Jig". I don't sell anything.
Pull the pins and see exactly what the depths are. The Lishi often gives an inaccurate read. Off by one cut
Thanks - I later verified my key cut with the RTT DDC and indeed, off by one. No big deal, just as long as I know it is off I can adjust as needed.

@@JonLock yeah, postal services worldwide are slow now. You pay too much import tax. Thanks again for the demo. 👍😁

Nah man, that’s skill… this is a shortcut, but I’d love to develop the skill of hand-filing some day.
Great demonstration Jon! I plan on getting the cutter but I’m not so sure about the red team kit.
Thanks for sharing!

How can I get the lishi key cutter
Depends, what region of the world are you in? Worldwide from aliexpress. Clk supplies, amazon, red team tools in the US. Amazon in Europe.

Hi! But how do you know beforehand, how deep you need to cut? Because it seemed you just write down random numbers ..
Please let me know!
From the Lishi tool just like it was shown.
strange that they are off
