Ya well at least she was expecting it. I ended up being a single mother to a grown ass man, with our son. So basically 2 kids. I honestly did not expect to have to do all* that for him. He presented himself so grown up and mature but as soon as we got married. Nope. He magically turned into a 5 year old over night. At 37 he's matured into a 15 year old. If he married anyone else though he'd still be a 5 year old. 🙄😒🤦♀️

And why is the mother in law deciding whether or not she keeps her maiden name? This MIL seems like she is picking a wife for herself instead of her son. She also seems to want her sons wife to be his mother simultaneously.
Besides the obvious gypsy culture, it's all for show. She obviously approved of Hannah.
I just think it's funny that Hannah's mum wants her to be a gypsy and grow up her way but is completely against her teachings on her daughter when it was applied to another gypsy family she didn't like.
I'm sure hannah would have wanted her husband's name since that is tradition and she would've grown up wanting.
I always worry for gypsy's, as like a lot of other strict cultures... it really puts women in awful situations when they marry abusive people.

I saw another clip of this. The girl’s mom wants her to break Gypsy tradition and be independent and get an education and avoid what she had to deal with. Shes one of the very few good moms on this show.

YES!!!!!! I LOVE that idea! I'd for sure watch a spin off in them! Especially because it has all the makings for a show. A young married couple, to which the girl finished school (typically they dont, they drop out at age 12-13) wanted to go to college, was a tom hoy who had no interest really in dating until her mom did the party for her, to meeting a boy who's 3 yrs younger I believe, got married pretty fast, who's families have despised each other for like centuries and the couple decided to.go against their families and live separately on their own in their OWN home!!! Ya this would undoubtedly be a great spin off to watch lol

This is the only couple I’ve ever seen on this show who actually seem like decent people and who I have any hope for lol. They both seem like sweet, respectable kids with good heads on their shoulders. It’s a shame that their families can’t just act like civilized adults and let them be happy.

I remember watching the first episode with these two. They looked so cute together. Didn't know that there was another episode with them getting married. I'm so happy for the both of them. I'm proud that they BOTH stuck up for each other in the end and told both moms they will not being living with either of them! Best decision that they could have made it it could of ended in divorce ASAP. I really hope that they are still married and happy together!
Out of all the dresses I've seen on this show. This girl picked the most prettiest one that doesn't look like a disaster. Gold, red, and white with a tint of cream looked nice together and the jewels as well matched perfectly. I'm not crazy about the design on the lower part of the dress but the top part seems really cute

I got married at 20 and my husband paid for the rest of my school. I am way happier with my husband than I ever was with my parents. He doesn't hit me with cooking utensils or try to tell me I'm not allowed to go to church. Not everyone comes from a happy home. I wasn't entirely sure I should get married until my grandad, who is sincerely the kindest person who ever lived (I didn't tell him about the abuse because I knew my grandparents couldn't afford to raise me) met my husband and really really thought highly of him.
We've been together since I was 18 and I'm just so so lucky to have him.
