The weddings on these shows are nothing like proper Gypsy/Traveller weddings. Most real Gypsies/Travellers don't do this show (& the more traditional weddings are nowhere near as OTT). People come on the show and play a very stereotypical role because they're paid to. It's entertainment - and falls into the 'scripted reality' genre rather than the 'documentary' genre.
The one with the biggest gypsy dress was an actual wedding. Ik i sounds weird bc of the dress, but it was an actual gypsy wedding, everyone was dressed, and they are still married to this day

Poor Lolo she had to stay there the whole night waiting on her sad excuse of a brother to pick out a date for her but he was too busy drinking. The meaning of true love in this show is actually probably just having a crush🙄 They get married after meeting the guy once. They don’t even truly know the person. Everyone has that sudden spark when they like someone but it’s not difficult for the spark to go away.

As a romanian girl (not gypsie, just living in Romania) I can tell that pretty much everything in this it’s true about their culture. Romania’s population is 40% if not 50% gypsies. They are pretty poor usually, but if they are part of the rich part of gypsies they would throw parties like this, which the most people consider very cheap and vulgar, and they are overall like this - cheap and vulgar, superficial, lazy, and most of them are a real problem in this country.
From my own experience they are usually searching for trash (clothes, food anything, they are almost homeless) and when they see you having something in your hand like a can of coke they are going to come at you and either try and take it LIKE DEADASS STRAIGHT OUT OF YOUR HAND or just yell after you nasty things, sometimes they do fight back if they are in groups, but once you put one down the rest are going to run.
Most gypsies in this country are nasty and very much like a virus, that took control over Romania. The worst part is that they made look Romania like the “horrible “ country people think it is, when really, it’s just them making the ugly part come out more and more.
Of course there are way more problems, but I ain’t gonna tell em all
And 90% of the Moms pushing their kids to find a man don't even have one themselves probably meaning that it never works out.
