Hi @ryandonaldson6301 thank you so much for watching and the support. First of all safe travels and enjoy it to the max! “The membership” or as it’s actually called, Legendary Vacation Club, is a membership to the company that owns Unico 2087 and other all-inclusive properties like Hard Rock Cancun, Hard Rock Punta Cana, Ava Cancun (new property opening in June), among others. If you pay for the membership, they will give you several “benefits” whenever you stay at one of the properties, like access to exclusive member areas in the hotel, discounts at the spa or if you book tours, etc. I’m not sure how much the membership is, but this is a method that many all-inclusive companies use to turn one time visitors/vacationers into regulars/repeated ones. During check-in you will be approached by a staff member whose job is to sell you the membership. Part of that “sale” is to have you go into this presentation the following day or so. During the presentation you’ll get a full rundown of what the membership includes and the price. I guess you can think of it as a timeshare, with a few differences here and there. Some people were annoyed by it because the sales person was too pushy or just didn’t want to take a no for an answer. Please know that wasn’t our case. The sales guy we got was super nice and was not pushy at all. Do know that they will try to give you spa credits, tour or excursion credits, etc. to get you to go to the presentation. My advice is…if your stay is less than 4 days/3 nights, and you’re not genuinely interested, don’t bother going. You’ll waste valuable time which can be used towards enjoying the hotel. If you’re staying longer it might be worth checking out, especially if you’re able to secure a spa or tour credit for just attending the meeting without needing to purchase anything after. Hope the above helps! Feel free to reach out with any other questions. Cheers 🔥👊🏻😊
@@MiloEstevez Hi Milo. Was it annoying to have lounges and pool areas booked off for members only? If I go to Unico, I will not be one of their members, but I also don't want to go if I cannot enjoy the entire resort because they've kept the best chairs and beach areas and pool areas for their members. Thanks.
@sixersfan3098 thanks for watching. Honestly no. We had a great time, we didn’t even feel like some areas were restricted, and that’s one of the many reasons why we would come back here 👍🏻
Hello Sir, my wife and I were there in February, with my big brother and his girlfriend, my nephew got married at unico in Mexico. our first time there we had a wonderful time.
Wow Cami It looks so beautiful, and the food looks delicious. Thank you 🙏 for sharing your experience with a lot of details that we can use later when planning our next vacation. ❤
Wow!!!! We just stayed at the Unico in March & had an amazing time! Wishing the ocean wasn't so rocky. You did a fantastic job with this review! Watching your video totally brings us back. We even fell in love with the resort's signature scent that hugs & diffuses in the lobby, halls & rooms. Fortunately, they sell the essential oil & spray in the gift shop & we were able to bring "a piece of" unico back home! Unfortunately, they don't have a website to order more. Do you happen to know if there is a way to buy more? Would love to be able to. Overall, it was a great place & great time!
@amatosstream999 Thanks for watching. We were there in January and it was an amazing stay. I agree with some of the comments about the beach, but I have also experienced worse beaches, so to me, it wasn't that big of a deal lol. Thank you so much for your words, I'm really happy you liked the video 🤙🏻🔥 I don't know how to or where to buy more of the essential oil & spray. But you can always ask the butler, if you still have him/her on WhatsApp. Thanks for the support and welcome to the family! Cheers 😀

really free food? are you saying all restaurants in this resort unico2087 free food, all you can eat? what's the catch here? thank you . great review and video

Thanks for watching! They have small tables between the beach chairs and umbrellas. I guess you can use those to put your drink or plate. But they don’t have like actual dining tables by the beach. I’m sure you can request one for an extra cost.
@@MiloEstevez welcome and thank u!.. I think I didn’t ask the question right is there a restaurant that’s open air by the beach or all the restaurants in the mall setting?
@@Freddybender123 ahhh gotcha. Most of the restaurants offer both inside and outside seating. With that said, the 20.87 Restaurant is the closest to the beach with outside seating, but you don't have water views. If you wanted to have some type of water view, then you would have to eat at the Italian restaurant - Mi Carisa. The outdoor seating area is on a lake and is really pretty. Hope that answers your question.
Hi @DavidLopez-zu3tp yes, we used the shared shuttle which is included with the cost of your stay. You pay for a private transfer and that’s around $290 round trip, or you can pay for a “luxury” transfer at $340 round trip. Honestly I think you’ll be good with the free transfer included with your stay. Hope this info helps! 👍🏻
Stayed here 5 times and it's a good resort but not even close to the best adults all-inclusive. Definitely one of the worst beaches among the places I've stayed. Narrow and rocky as you enter unless you hike to the north end of the resort. If the wind is too strong they won't put up the umbrellas and the lounges at the beach are cheap junk. One positive -- if the water is calm you can snorkel right off the beach and there's a lot to see. I took my own equipment but they have stuff there and there are guided tours. Pretty cool. Aside from the beach everything else is great. Nice workout facility, wood-fired pizza out at the bar, coffee shop, disco bar, comfortable rooms, great room service. My two favorite restaurants were the steak house and the Italian. As for the membership push, I made it clear in the first 30 seconds that I would not buy and it was over.
@mikewiebel Thanks for watching and commenting. Just out of curiosity...what's the resort lacking in your opinion, so it is one of the best adults-only all-inclusive in Mexico? I mean you said you've stayed at the property 5 times, and that aside from the beach everything else is great. So what's missing? Cheers! 👍🏻
@@MiloEstevez First, I can't discount the beach. It's just not very good. Aside from that the service is good but it's not great. Make no mistake I enjoyed every stay at 2087 but it's not the best. It does not have to be the best, it's more than good enough.

@sharons5118 not at all. They let you make dinner reservations before you travel. If you forget to do so, you can make them during your check-in, but I suggest you do them before. What's best way to get to unico? I was surprised their transfer isn't a free private transfer. They said we wait on a shared and have other stops or pay alot for a private. Other transfer recommendation?
Hi @staceyyanz thanks for watching. The best way to get to Unico is with their transfer services. I know it may seem a bit odd at first, I felt the same way. All-inclusive hotels only “include” private transfers when you stay in their most expensive suites and rooms. Like many other all-inclusive hotels, Unico’s transfer services are handled by a third party company. This is why they run shared shuttle services with a few stops in other hotels. Hi @shayeshults7175 thanks for watching. We haven’t had the chance to stay in any of those.
