The lawyer is trying to make the witness panic and jumble their stories. Word it different because if they didn't understand what happened properly(i.e. lying) they will have a lot of inconsistencies. It is naive to think a Lawyer is a nice person to the opposing team.

A bigger loss than the money is the loss of privacy when Johnny had to display his personal life before this court and thus before the world. He also had the heartbreak of having to expose some of his closest friends’ and families’ personal lives.

I've been watching most of these clips in the background while doing other stuff and even without looking I know when Heard's legal team speaks. The difference in professionalism is astonishing. Her legal team interrupts, insults, and practically bullies a lot of the witnesses. Don't even get me starting on how leading their questioning is, and the fact they cut a witness off when they explain something that doesn't fit their agenda as "not answering the question". I hope the judge and jury are smart enough to throw her countersuit out, no questions asked.

They're allowed to ask leading questions on cross examination. That's how the law works here. You can't ask leading questions on direct examination.

It's odd to me that witnesses don't fight with lawyers and insist on finishing their sentences. I suppose most people don't take the stand often, but it still puzzles me.

The jurists, are human and also have their own brains which amazingly come with independent thought and ability to analyse. AH's attorney is shooting his own foot, because he's depriving the jury of vital information , but also causing the jury to think "Why is that lawyer making the witness shut up ? Simply put, every time the lawyer objects, calls hearsay, doesn't allow a witness to answer or talks over witness, as a jury member my mind would be like why are they cutting the witness off. What could or would the witness say that would be so damaging to Amber that the lawyer quickly tries to stop or silence the witness from saying something. Starting to think they're getting paid for the amount of times they can make a witness say "correct" or "yes", I guess they assume the jury is full of idiots who will think the 'winning side' is the one who makes people say the word 'correct' or 'yes' more... Whenever the defense says: ~ "You didn't see any contract ..., true?", the witness should reply "not written". Again, verbal contracts are legally binding in most states. This forensic accountant, however, was the first to point out that Johnny had received payment based on the verbal contract re Pirates 6!!! Yay that.

Actually other factors due matter. Because the point of the trial is to see if the op Ed was the cause of financial loss. However the other factors brought up have proven that they didn't affect anything, and yet her lawyers keep bringing it up
I'm sorry, but is a lawyer allowed to demand that a witness says only "yes" or "no"? That doesn't seem like it should be allowed. It becomes far too easy to twist the narrative, and it says a lot that the lawyer is absolutely determined not to allow the witness to explain anything.

Notice how Heard's team wants to strip out context. Because that would destroy her case if the Jury knew the real reasons.
Both sides can ask questions in turns, if he needed to say something more then the other side can ask about it.

What I believe is Johnny was completely utterly humiliated and realized he had been scammed within the first year of marriage.

You can't prove a negative. The forensic accountant provided clear numbers, and then the lawyer just spews out all of the things that were not looked at. The lawyer then uses spurious "logic" to basically say that "Well, Johnny's already so rich, so he didn't suffer any damage to his reputation or income."

Luckily, any jury should already understand how harmful Amber's allegations were.
