I have spent hours scouring the internet looking for an explanation on how to use some of the most common tools. It would seem that they should be self explanatory. But for me someone who hasn't used some of these tools, it was as foreign as deep space. I decided that I would suck on my pride and admit to everyone that at the time I bought these tools I was pretty wet behind the ears. So now I figure it out and share it with you.
The Super Siphon is a cheap and easy way to get almost any chemical out of one tank, Jug or reservoir into another. I will admit that my first attempt at using it was to Siphon nasty power steering fluid out of a reservoir. I spent an hour getting the fluid out of it because I was using the siphon incorrectly, what a pain in the but.
Needless to say since then I've figured out this incredible simple yet extremely frustrating device and have made this video for others who may have struggled with the same problems.

Glad to find your video, I bought the same siphon several years ago and used it once. I couldn’t get it to work today until I watched this and saw you folded over the short end and pinched it to close. I’d been holding my fingertip to the opening and apparently wasn’t getting it air tight, so not getting suction initiated.
My local hardware store carries that same pump and the online reviews are really bad. I think the bad reviews are largely due to people not using it the right way thinking that you need to pump the liquid rather than just prime it and let is siphon. Thanks for the video, very helpful 👍🏼
Thank you, Paul. That’s what I was looking for is just a simple, how to use this bulb siphon. I also couldn’t figure out how to use it. Plugging one end and pushing air into the liquid. Makes sense. Displacement!
Why did you cut it at 2:33? That was the part I needed to see. Did you fill the bulb?? what did you do? At what point did you take your finger off top. Can't use this....

OK.. But at what point do you take your thumb off the other end? I'm trying to take oil out of the oil tank in my lawn mower. The Siphon sucks the oil perfectly until it gets to the black ball thing, then it stops moving. When I take my finger off, the oil starts going back into the machine.
I was waiting for him to say now my hands all red 🤣🤣🤣 video is extremely healthy cos I got one of these pumps failed in using it now it's just sitting amongst the car repair pile 🤣🤣 but this video was entertaining and helpful 👌

Helpful and straight to the point, thank you. A word of advice to viewers though: hold the bulb vertically so that all the air can get out of it. That stopped me up for a bit.

used same exact siphon pump to replace AT Fluid and it gave me some headache because the pipe is so hard it would make it difficult to hold it in the same position in a tiny tank and it would pop out each time I would try to arrange the lower other end of the pump's pipe

you should do one for differential gear oil changes... thicker and heavier.. Reason you might need this for the front is the drain plug is always seized and you can extract the gear oil from the fill plug port using this siphon which I might try. Im gonna try with motor oil first just to practice ...

To weigh down the end, I punched a small hole in the end of the feeder tube, used a very small cable tie, and attached a sturdy metal nut. Make sure it's all done properly as the last thing you want is to lose a nut inside your gas tank!

I still can't get mine to work and keep flowing :( I did exactly the same with the pinching but it stops flowing. Will have to try again

Yeah but of fencing wire or something can be used to wrap the end and then holld it like a handle to pin the opening down on the bottom of the tank
after realizing how to use it properly, I look back and think how could I have been so fuckin stupid.. its common sense but I feel like it's fuckin rocket science 🤣

With mine I have to keep restarting/priming and only a little comes out. Probably an issue with the source or my technique.
Great Vid - These are being marketed to bikers as an emergency way to get gas from other bikers or cars but im sure they dont know how it works cos one of those containers wont fit in a race bike tail. I wish it had a one way valve. Or I could pack a sturdy plastic bag to hold the fuel maybe.

Can I use a siphon to pump transmission fluid in my transmission?
Use this for your transmission, siphon mtf fluid, set the long part of the tube higher and sit the small part into the fill plug 🔌, poor from the top, just add 1 quart or less, but never empty the entire transmission or the car won’t move out of neutral because it has to adjust to the new fluid’s viscosity. So just add transmission fluid after a course of good driving years.
Good example......just purchased one, had to get some oil out of my motorcycle 🏍, kinda added to much. Saved me from doing an oil change, got it from Wal-Mart for about $3 and some change. 👍

I am trying this to get gas out of my grand Caravan into my other car and the end in my grand Caravan shoved all the way in there isn’t even wet. I had the opposite end closed and pumped the thing for like five minutes and nothing.
My buddys uncle said this will work with 80w90 gear oil. Is he right or no
I've got the exact same hose kit. I'll be using it tomorrow because a local "shady" mechanic allowed his young worker to send me on my way with at least 2.5 quarts too much oil in my 20 year old car. Seriously? 😠
This is a primer pump with no one way valves in it. Yes, not all primer bulb pumps are the same.

get your hands out of that! lol. seriously though, is there a way to get this to work where you don't have to fuss with the intake side? how long a tube will this thing start a syphon on? what I really want to do is overcome an airlock in quarter inch tube, carrying water but running a long way....like a thousand feet.. ideas??! I'm accepting ideas.

So I can get it to work like you showed in the video but I can't get it to work in my car. I push the hose in as far as I can and try it but nothing. I can even smell and feel the gasoline on the end of the tube when I pull it out.

Have you ever used one of those small hand squeeze pumps. I just bought
one by Victor Products from Autozone (looks like a accordion in a tube
shape that you squeeze) and wondering if they really work :well" before I
