The orange one sounded much better than the red one. I'm looking at one of the orange ones in a local pawn shop, a neck through model that weighs a ton but it sounds solid and full. We'll see how it goes the next time I stop in and play it. Good comparison video, I liked the orange one.
I just pulled the trigger on a six string Alvarez electric bass and dude, if the bass you’re looking at is comfortable and a good deal, snag it for damn sure!! Three purchases I’ve never regretted: new kind of instrument, new jacket, new boots.
Both basses have a lot of sonic content , lots of highs, a very powerful eq system on both. I have the Taiwan Indonesian version and love it. I’m tented to fit a set of thomastic flat wounds to eliminate stringscrape
My preference would be slightly towards the TrbJP. The Taiwan version has a more midrange zing-y sound to it. But ultimately it’ll depend on what music you would play.
I just bought a red one like new condition. $750..... But I am still considering trying the TRB6. I heard that trb1006J model is weaker but apparently it is not that bad at all. THIS IS THE TAIWAN VERSION

I used to have both, both sound amazing, but I prefer the 6P for the definition and clarity, and the piezo sounds amazing
vicky arif setiawan that’s not the 6p but the JP, and it has not piezo

Came here for the basses, stayed for the Star Wars collection

The orange has all the mids, love that, the red one sounds scooped a bit.
O timbre do yamaha japonês é mais aveludado e definido.
Muito melhor.

You sell basses? I see playing some real nice basses!
The orange one sound warm!
The red one is punchy!
Big difference thanks for the is the MIJ model neck through?
sinceramente a mi me gusta mas el taiwan jeje
JP1 = Strings old and 1006 = New Strings
Juninho Sampaio No, new strings on Both.
@@lalofierro I had JP1. Actually i´ve a JP2. I think JP2 the best than JP1.
Muy buena comparativa Lalo!! 😊👌
Germán Stelzer Gracias 🙏

The red one for me.

@@rhoodj I have a TRB6II wich sounds great.
1006 super!!! Good!!
Capitadores não são diferentes?
muy buen test!! gracias
Yamaha basses sound so "right" to me.
Seria mais justo se fosse o 6ll e o 1006
Também acho
JP1 lembra o Som do 6II, o 1005 ta muito agudo, porem no teste do Slap ele não fez com os 2 captadores do 1005, fez com o da ponte
Of course the jp one sounds better in terms of punchy sound and clearer sound.
