I like the Briarpatch pattern it looks like it would make a decent EDC. The RC blades that i have the quality is very good, IMO way better than Case so yes Case should be affraid & step up or they may disapeer like so many others. I believe all RC blades traditional knives are in D2 , I would like to see some SS versions maybe 14c28N or better would be nice. Nice one buddy 😎👍
I am with you on a variation on the steel. I am down for 440C or 9CR (being China made and all). I am thirsting for traditional knives with 440C. Don't know why.
What a fantastic knife! The bone looks beatiful on it. It is definitely a traditional, but very close to the border of modern. Thank yuo for the shout (^_^)

You are correct thst the smoky gray bone looks like acrylic, at least seen on my screen it does. Also 100% agree Case needs improvement ! I fear like too many companies Case is riding on their reputation & brand loyalty. Companies that do that are always amazed when they fail or are bought out by cold corporate entities. OK, off the soapbox, your comparison RR has that beautiful long clip bowie shape that I really appreciate. But yeah, if I was doing a bunch of hard use cutting I would choose the RCB. Always like the unusual blade shpes too so like the coping blade.

Very nice knife. The lambsfoot blade is my favorite on this knife. Love the cigar shape too. I have 3 RCB and they are all very nice.

I got word it is called a "rosebud". I make up my own names on the shields, but I think the proper name can be important.
I honestly believe RC get these out of the same factory as Rough Ryder just better finishes and materials. But just a guess. They look so similar.
That makes sense to me considering Andy Armstrong used to work for Smokey Mountain Knife Works. He would have the contacts there.
