CRACKING video mate as usual very well explained thanks for sharing that information gunny weather awful here in the UK United kingdom raining all the time and we have the snow to come in January or February 😮😮😮
something i found kept the dirt off the job was to tack / wipe off in one dirction right off the panel, wiping back and forward could leave stuff on the panel, more relevent when doing whole cars or larger areas
That was the tinted red clear for Mazda 46v that he cleared over. He's done heaps of these. After spraying the tinted clear he gives it a bake, long enough to where he can nib any dust but still in the chemical adhesion window for applying clear on top. Trust me, he knows what he's doing
I love painting red tri coats, they give such a satisfying finish. Seems we came to the same set up on the fan. I do agree, after setting up, readjust gun to desired setting, but I found 2 out from close seems to be best for everything, depending on type of clear. one other adjustment I made, was bumping psi up to 32 psi (2.3 bar for y’all I think) for a smoother finish, and the gun seems more efficient using less clear, now, I could be experiencing a placebo effect, maybe you can give it a try and confirm😬 I also heard from a ppg rep that the ls400 entec was killer at spraying envirobase especially when it’s hot and humid. You do seem much happier what ever it is keep it up.
Wow that was good I have missed your videos. I live in PA USA. Here we are just starting winter. I am glad that means the humidity will be low and I will heat the garage up to about 75. Then I will ba able to spray on my favorite clear finishes on my wood working projects. I use automotive cleat coats', these work great on tables and can bu buffed. Learned a lot from watching you over the years. Thanks for the video. Question what is the advantage to setting the gun on a wide pattern then when you spray you are closer to panel and not using the full width...
Lovely Jubbly Mr Gunny👌 that is one beautiful gun I would like to pick up a second hand WS400 Series one at some point as all I have is the Series 2 which I think is probably the best clearcoat gun I own and I do have a few of them🤔 I like the way you set the fan up by winding it in until the pressure rises, I assume you can do that on any gun. Anyway mate a great finish on the hood and tailgate they came out really clean👏🙏👍John UK
Spot on that looks 👍What do you do to keep the overspray off your go pro, I’ve been putting cling film on mine but it’s a pain and affects the footage a bit
How long has it been between this clear coat and the last kandy coat? As you have been able to sand some nibs, one assumes at least 24 hours? What is the limit of time between coats?
G'day Mr Gunman, What an awesome looking job. Q. The mirka tack cloth. Is that the Waffle 90cmx95cm. Thanks for sharing another awesome video man ✌️ Peace.
Got rid of my iwata & deeply regret it, always used Devilbiss, then tried iwata, then got a dv1 can't say it was the best, went back with my pro lites, then got the sata cc which sprays well but it just feels like a brick in my hand, so overall I can see me going back to iwata, overall seems to be the best guns, Tell me your thoughts
@@TheGunmanRAW you know what Gunny that's been in my mind for a while now, Italian products are very good, I learnt that years ago when I lived there, thanks for the reply mate, envy your weather down there it's fuckin freezing here up north England, Take care bro

You seem happier at that shop then I’ve ever seen you dude, it’s a right nice set up, glad you’ve turned ya music down mate, quality job as usual 👍🏻
Always learning something new, I guess this way you can pick any air pressure and find the sweet spot on any gun.

Soooooo you just cleared over dried glossy surface, how is that NOT going to exfoliate ?

I will check to see where my ws400 is set with that pressure check. I keep trying different guns and I always go back to the iwata.
Have you done a workshop tour at your new place?
Super ☺
amazed as always , top shelf
Good job dude. Do you full bake your tinted clear?
Hey gun man it turned out beautiful
🔥🔥🔥
Hate it or love it those iwata kick ass
I see people spraying with iwatas without adjusting the fan at all and I don’t understand how they survive. I do this to all of mine.
I totally agree! The guys that don’t just don’t know what they are looking for.
They simply don't spray properly at full fan
@@TheGunmanRAWwhat is the possible reason not spray with full fan? Air compressor not powerful to keep up ?
Wonder if other guns can be set up same way? 🤔
Awesome video Gunny!!! What’s your fluid setting on the gun?

Pay half the price and try the ANi Black Skull edition 👌 1.2 clear, it's much easier to control and gives killer results.
Just need a big compressor
