      Great video! I would add that if driving on one of our very narrow roads and you meet a lorry or a tractor, first go slow on these roads, also just pull as far over as you can and stop if you’re uncomfortable. You can figure it out how to pass. It can be very intimidating meeting like this on the road. Also, if you’re not 100% comfortable driving on the left, reconsider driving. There have been so many horrible accidents caused by people forgetting to drive on the left. I had family visit and they chose to rent a van and driver to go around Ireland. It was reasonable but definitely not for people traveling on a tight budget.

      @SomethingToRemember  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah good point about the roads the driving… it must be intimidating to those who’ve never experienced it before especially if they’ve never driven on the left!
      Camper van rentals definitely aren’t cheap but you don’t have to pay for accommodation & if you have a kitchen it would help a lot… I suppose “budget” is relative to each individual 😅 Thanks for commenting!

    All so true.. ..a few Q's:
    As people from Donegal, have you ever visited Tory island?? I was there in June and, loved the place and, the people out there. The puffins and visiting whales shouldn't be forgotten either 😊
    And then off course, there's the entire Northern Irish coast and not least a city visit to Derry...been there, done that or, any plans to do so??

    • @Jetmab04
      @Jetmab04 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh and a PS: Ever visited the Blaskets?? If any place is truly remote, these islands are!
      I once got stock out there.. our ferry back to the main land couldn't get to the island, and we ended up staying out there 3 extra nights 😊

    • @SomethingToRemember
      @SomethingToRemember  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi 👋 You know what, Ive never been to Tory or the Blaskets but they’re both on an ever-growing bucket list… Been to Aranmore island & Achill Island & loved them both, perhaps we should visit more islands 😆 Yeah, Derry is a great city & the Causeway Coast is beautiful!

      @@SomethingToRemember I am sure you'll love Tory! It's a stunning island and, if you like Aranmore (so do I) you simply cannot miss Tory - you might even see the puffins swim!! I got a real Irish tan up there in June and, will definitely visit again and yes, all the Irish islands are great 😊
      I've missed Rathlin island not least than twice so far. I keep arriving in Ballycastle just when the ferry left...maybe one day, even I will make it out there...😊
      Another island, really worth visiting,- not Irish but close, is the isle of Man. Just don't go there when the race is on!!
      Happy hunting your list 🤗

    Thanks for tje great vid! Im an Aussie so driving on the left is normal for us. We are planning around April or May '25. Is the weather ok for day trips that time of the year? Also, any tips on good budget car hires? Ive read some places want 5K hold on the credit cars! 🙈 Thanks.

      Hi, if we could choose a time of year to go to Ireland we’d pick either May or September- now that’s not to say you’re guaranteed good weather but you’ve got a good chance of it 😊
      Not sure about the credit card thing but we always use DiscoverCars or our rentals… Here’s a link to their website 😊 www.discovercars.com/?a_aid=markandasya

    Oh YAY !! You've been to Tokyo !!? Yeah ~! Lol. I saw ,watched those videos !! I didn't know that kind of tours to Japan existed for rugby games !! I watched an English lady featured it on her channel ! I saw Welsh flag t shirts/ goods were sold at stores in Tokyo in her video & I went " What !!??What's going on !?" Lol. I thought suddenly Wales became popular in Japan domehow !! Lol. Then she explained it in her video ! Is rugby your national sport like Welsh !? I guess so ! Cool !! I used to watch my classmates playing rugby at school in Tokyo ! I liked it very much ! I love ⚽️ football the best,though ! Thanks so much for sharing your memory with me ,Mark !! 🙏👍👍😍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇮🇪🇯🇵💕💞

      @SomethingToRemember I finally watched a couple of videos of it yesterday & loved it !! Very fun to watch !! It was very entertaining !! 👍👍I think football ⚽️ is the best sport ever ,but I love watching anything including rugby 🏉, but this one is unique !! The way they bounce the ball & kick it ...dribble with hands like a basketball game ,it's like a basketball meets rugby & football all together !! Lol It was almost feeling like cheating from a football fan's views ,confusing !! Lol. But,I believe it's fast moving sports & people hate watching football games will love it !! As the game moves faster !! I think we should import your sports here in the U.S.& Japan ,everywhere !!! I bet it'll be a hit & the new thing !! Very very flexible athletes !! So much fun !! I am a new fan !! Thank you so much for introducing that to me !! I'm gonna keep checking their games on TH-cam !! 👍👍👍😍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

      @SomethingToRemember ? Did I say something wrong !? Lol. I do !! Lol. When I was in my early 20's in Tokyo ,when I put down British foods ( well,again that means English, really ,Lol. ) ,someone ,either German ,or Swedish man I used to know & an American man told me that I'd have to try pub meals at pubs in U.K. / Britain ,so on.They all told me that they're the cheapest / tastiest & I was missing out !! True story !! Lol. I found it very close to the truth / decent comments ! Especially when traveling on budgets ! It helps & makes difference ! We don't have to sacrifice our taste buds for saving money if we eat at pubs / delicatessens mainly ! Not to mention fast foods ,but we should avoid processed foods as much as possible .You don't like foods at pubs ? Lol. 🤷‍♀️😆💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞

      Oh...phew ! I thought I've said something not appropriate 😅 That 😅emoji got me thinking there !! Lol. Thanks !! And I appreciate YOU for all the wonderful videos !! Especially Ireland 🇮🇪 ones from an Irish person like yourself is something that I wanna see ! Like myself I should be the one of those filming Tokyo & L.A. as a person who is from there actually . All those views on places in the world are different from people just visiting & actually living !! I wouldn't be doing what you guys are ( youtuber ) ,but I sub to so many channels as I've got lots of interests / curiosities on many things !! Traveling is one of 'em. I watch as a tourist ,but some of the countries I wish if I could live in for months ,if not years ! And the locals & people from the countries know places which aren't too touristy & gems !! Thank you so much for your kind words & replies !! Very appreciated always !! 🙏 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇮🇹💕💞
