Nah, she is the piano
Nah, she's a he

What's incredible about it?
@@Pablo-gl9djShe isn't just playing notes with her hands, she's creating emphasis with the rest of her body. If she was playing without feeling the music, she wouldn't be able to make the same stylistic choices. This breadth of emotion is important for the interpretation and the actual sound of the piece.
I think it's similar to why some pop artists are simply better than others at live shows; if you're bad at showing you feel the music and connect with it, you can't make the crowd connect with the music either.
@@Pablo-gl9dj compare to say, Glenn Gould lurching and crumpling in front of his keyboard, this looks healthier, very dynamic and dance-like

@@charbird20one of my friend said she prefer to play on flat shoes than on heel but when shes performing she prefer to perform in heels because most of the pianos are on a wheeling platform and so the pedals are a tad higher as a result, and the heel makes it feel a little closer to normal

You know, when I was a kid I used to associate classical with "boring" because it meant I had to sit down, be quiet, and listen to the music. Which is the last thing any kid wants. However, as I've grown older and have started to appreciate all the hard work that goes into putting together these performances, I appreciate it so much more now.
Yeah, when I go to a classical perf. I like, I really get into it, too. No way you can sit still throught something like this !
When I was a kid my parents played classical music (and jazz) all the time. I didn’t sit still for anything, I conducted and my brother was every instrument in the orchestra. Rach piano concertos were favorites because we could get so dramatic with our moves. Classical music is a blast.

Yuja Wang is incredible, and the conductor earned a substantial acknowledgment with his outstanding directing of Wang and Rachmaninov’s piano concerto!
Sorry her name is yuja wang. ‘They knew’
Ofc this was Rachmaninov
It seems like the conductor is directing everyone but the pianist.
@@TammyG987 The pianist is really working in concert with the orchestra and the Conductor basically handles the orchestra and works with the pianist. I saw Van Cliburn and conductor Charles Dutoit literally changing the tempo whenever they took the lead spot in Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto. The sign of a true pianist… The music doesn’t come just from what’s on the paper or what she’s trained her hands to do. It comes from deep inside her. She’s very passionate. That’s what makes anyone a true master of their art.

The fact that shes doing this in massive gorgeous heels is what gets me. Pianist for 10 years and that's actually really challenging
That's what struck me, too! I mean, playing is already hard enough, but operating the pedals with those heels? Must have been hell!
Have you been playing in heels for 10 years? I would imagine like everything else in music, you have to practice for it to be easy
Oh my god, I was wearing flats once but it had a ribbon on the front and the right one got caught in the pedal during my recital and caused me to mess up because as I was playing my piece, I had to also pull my foot away and wiggle out the pedal from my shoe
With heels like that, she’s playing on advanced mode while looking good at the same time. She definitely deserves respect for her performance.
