it's a pity I didn't do helicopter and we took boat tour instead cause my wife's sister suggested to save,that was 7 years ago-if this would be now I wouldn't even think and would take helicopter and boat together,great video thanks!
Thanks for watching! You'll definitely have to try the helicopter next time you are in Kauai! As for me, I've never done any of the boat tours along the Na Pali coast, so I think that's on my list next time I'm there!
@@akfasso boat tour is very good too we took Holo Holo charters they have high speed boat friendly staff food and drinks included in price really worth it

I just returned home from Kauai last night. Took the helicopter ride, the view was spectacular but it's somewhat scary. Make sure you tie up all your hair before getting on with the ride. The wind up there was very strong and my hair kept on poking into my eyes and I did not see well and missed some sights.

what time of the day did you fly? what time would you suggest.
I don’t recall the exact time of day, but it was certainly on the earlier side - maybe 9AM. As someone who loves photography, morning or sunset times are ideal when wanting to capture all of the colors of the landscape. (You won’t have the harsh sunlight of high noon). Hope that helps!
@@akfasso thanks. I am torn because I read that morning is more calm but napali coast being on the west side will be under the shadow. was that your experience? would you prefer later afternoon if you do it again?
