      Apple is an American company helping, aiding and abetting the Chinese Communist Party regime. In China, Apple has literally prohibited Chinese patriots who are in the streets, demonstrating for their human and civil rights from using AirDrop to communicate with each other.

    The Chinese has acquired high skill in manufacturing while Americans skills are dropping because manufacturing jobs has left US to Asia for decades. However, not all is lost, Americans have acquired great keyboard skills in making bullshit comments in social media. America is still great.

    It’s not just about valuation, it’s not just about supply chains. It’s about the legacy of quality that Apple has maintained for several years under Jobs. I loved listening to and watching Tim Cook talk about the future of tech, but today, looking at the massive drop in quality in Apple products, I cringe. Apple needs a tech person at the helm of affairs, not a person who just wants to keep his shareholders happy.

    well...I'm leaving iOS for Android because I Cannot access VPN reliably on iOS. Shame on the decision to curry favor and kowtow to censorship.

    • @Oneness100
      @Oneness100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are such an idiot. That's not censorship, all they did was to pull apps that didn't have the approval of China's IT Ministry, once they got approval then they could repost them.
      Also, check your grammar. What's "curry favor"? Also, it's not kowtowing,, that's a little extreme. They didn't want to offer apps that weren't approved by the local government. Nothing wrong with that. it's called complying, not Kowtowing. you are just grossly exsagerrating what they did to fulfil your own igorance.

    • @xiaoqi719
      @xiaoqi719 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    • @Oneness100
      @Oneness100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      But how does it apply?

    • @Oneness100
      @Oneness100 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      You through out words but there is not relationship to what they did and what you THINK they mean.
      let's look up the words Kowtow, that definition means that Tim/Apple acted in an EXCESSIVELY SUBSERVIENT manner. By doing what? What did he do that was EXCESSIVELY SUBSERVIENT? It also sounds a little on the subjective side, which means that one person thinks something is excessive and another doesn't. So eactly what did they do that was EXECESSIVELY SUBSERVIENT?
      Curry favor. I don't how you are applying that. The probelm is you just threw out some terms with no explaination on how they apply to what was done. Assholes like yourself tend to do that to make yoursefl feel superior. Media people do it to get clickbait articles because if you put the word Apple in a headline, it gets a lot of readership regardless if the information is acurate, truthful or not. You seem to have fallen in the same trap as the media that put out clickbait articles.

    • @Oneness100
      @Oneness100 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Have you gone to Apple's App store and see if they have any VPN apps posted? I don't know how long it takes for these apps to get approved by the Chinese Ministry, but that's most likely what Apple is waiting for and it's not THEIR job to get that approval, it's the 3rd party app developer's job to do that, All Apple's doing is acting as a retail store outlet that offers apps for their OS platform. If they find an app that contains malware or is not approved by the Governement in the country for which they operate, then they pull it until the app gets approval or passes their criteria. I wouldn't find that wrong in any way for them to pull it. I wouldn't want to use software that wasn't approved by the government of the country I lived in or contains some malware or some other malicious capabilities.
      You have to put yourself in the position of Apple and how they don't want to get banned or their App Store shut down for selling innapproprate software for that market. They are just acting in a proactive manner to prevent anything more severe.
      Android OS is a pile of shit for many reasons. But if you want to leave Apple's ecosystem and take your chances on Android, that's your decision. Good luck. But I don't have to worry about the problems in China because I don't live there. But if they did the same thing in the US, I would understand that they have to be compliant to whatever laws and policies in the US and that's all that is. Stop making it into something more than it really is.
      You just are making a kneejerk reaction to a short term issue that will probably work itself out soon enough.

A small fraction of its profits could benefit every single american not just a few dozen shareholders. Yes I know that if they didn't move to china they wouldn't be competitive but thats just not true. There are plenty of companies that have jobs over here. 8:20 Really?! The lineworkers in a factory where they have to put nets to prevent them from killing themselves are "one of the happiest people on the planet" REALLY?!

    • @huangfeilung
      @huangfeilung 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Considering other factories tho!

    • @Oneness100
      @Oneness100 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      But Apple doesn't own those factories, so why are you blaming Apple over problems at a Foxconn factory? That doesn't make sense.
      BTW, just about every company that sells electronics products uses Foxconn, including Microsoft, Google, and Amazon, so don't think those companies haven't or don't do business with Foxconn.

    • @JohnDoe-oq4zs
      @JohnDoe-oq4zs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not my point. I know apple is just like the other companies. I just find Tim's comments very cynical calling these people "happiest people on the planet" That's what i was trying to get at.

      The factory is more like a city. 400,000 people work in Foxconn's factory campus in Shenzhen. The rate of suicide is lower than the national average of the US and any US state.

    • @Oneness100
      @Oneness100 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Edmund, their rate of suicide is probably lower than most cities of 400,000+ people. I live in a city that's not much bigger than Shenzhen and we have a much higher suicide rate. In 2015, they had over 250 successful suicides in that one year and that was up 25% from the year prior. Foxconn hasn't had 250 suicides in the past 20 years, so what the heck. Having 18 attempted suicides is NOTHING. I know people don't like hearing that anyone committed suicide, but it was more of them threatening suicide than carrying out those threats. So, it's realy more of a situation where the media overblowing the situation as a desperate attempt at getting attention. How come these journalists don't look at the suicide rate in the US and complain about that?
      Plus, why are people blaming Apple and not Foxconn? Apple doesn't own or manage those factories, those are Foxconn factories. The other factor is that those suicides and suicide threats was many years ago, to my knowledge, they have since built newer, more modern factories and have better living and working conditions, they have given yearly raises, and they cap how many hours a week they have to work. Yeah, it's tough for Apple to control the situation because it's not Apple's factories, it's Foxconn, and Apple can't monitor everything over there, they can only do so much and it takes time to change things. People seem to think that everything works in a vacuum and that it only takes 5 minutes to change things. Unfortunatly, it takes years for them to change working/living conditions because they have to build new factories and living quarters. But one thing that's threatening everyone that works in mfg. is robotics. Foxconn has implemented something like 30,000+ robots which results in a elimination of jobs or at least lowers the number of workers they need. Can't do much about that, as robotics is infiltrating mfg. in practically every market that has high production levels.

      The US is a democratic country, at least it's supposed to be but it's flawed, especially since Trump won the Presidency and the Republicans took over the Congress. But that might change. at least some of us hope it will to make it less flawed. :-)
      But every government is trying to figure out the internet and how they see it working and trying to get rid of criminals, cybercriminals, and other negative aspects of it. Unfortunately, to remove negative aspects of the internet some level of censorship has be done. Can't get around that.
