I have ONE word to make this so EASY: Hemostats. Yup. That's the ticket. Watched this video and saw the struggle and thought, You know.... and sure enough it's slicker than a bobsled course. Promise. You can clamp the end and pull it through the molle, then use it to weave it until finally, at the very end, put the hemostats through the little slot, grab the pointy end, and pull it through to lock it and DONE! Literally about 5 min to do, and WAY easier than struggling with bare hands. Good luck, all. Hope this helps!!
I don't have one but I imagine that would work quite well. I have a set of reverse action tweezers for electronics that I tried using a while after making this video and it worked well enough.
They are a pain in the ass to install when compared to stiff plastic ones like the the HST molle clips. And I question the durability of rubber bands attaching my pouches. I wish I had ordered my Esstac stuff without the WTFix straps and just bought HST clips instead. Now I have a box full of WTFix straps that I will probably use as ranger bands on something.

I wonder if taping a zip tie to the ends would help pull them through. Kinda like running speaker wire. Gonna give it a shot here in a couple days.

Ranger Bands?! What? The have no elasticity what-so-ever. These could never be used as Ranger Bands. Ugh.
