Fun fact: at 7:50 in the video, where the target is, that's actually the area AI use to get to Red Forest. Some levels have separated areas where the player goes to other maps and where the AI go to other maps. He never walked by you at the checkpoint. He simply walked into that corner and teleported xD

Same here ahah I’m getting 60 fps max at certain areas and well below that in big fights. There was a 10 plus man gunfight I had with Monolith in Jupiter I had to cut off cuz the HD Models all stacked together killed my OBS ahah

Thanks, will do! It also depends on the weather and reshade you are using. I use Badlands, it’s nice for rain but not other weathers or certain types of day, all about trial and error

The eastern wall you mentioned at the factory location in Jupiter is apparently no obstacle to NPCs at all. I once had a very similar situation chasing a target to this point and I just made it around a corner to get line of sight and saw them blink away. I believe they're able to just teleport to the other side or even to another worldspace.

@@CusterPlaysThat's what I love most about this franchise. The locations feel real because they are real. It's why I believe that STALKER might have been better off as a platformer or puzzle-solving game rather than a first person shooter. We're often too concerned about running around doing this or that mission, we forget to take the time to appreciate the environment around us. The level design has always been the franchise's strongest aspect.

Besides the weapons/devices mods (and EFP itself), are you just using the atmospherics mods (along with the texture packs he uses in his install video) or do you do anything else? BTW your videos have gotten me to come back to STALKER at least 3 times and each play through has been like... probably a thousand hours before I take a break, just to come back again a month or two later hahaha. So keep up the good work man

This one is actually a mod I got some weeks ago but still feels generic 😂 It does sound a lot better than the BAS one especially unsupressed
From the STALKER-wiki; "From the outlying structures and a sizable number of grounded ships around, Zaton appears to be set in a branch of the Pripyat river which has been drained of its water sometime after the Chernobyl incident, most likely to contain the radiation contamination in the water." So, yeah. An old river/side-reserve area of the Pripyat River.

@@CusterPlays Yeah. The place do exist IRL but has been adapted in-game to make sense in the game world. It's much smaller IRL. I think it was mostly used as a kind of drydock of some kind for ship repairs. The old dock exists in-game, the old beach with the sun chairs and umbrellas and the Skadovsk itself. Not so sure if the bridge exists IRL though.

Lol, there is an npc only transit point at the south east corner of that factory into red forest. I quite often run into a mad 2 or 3 way fire fight anytime i go in there lol.

What animations are you using? The walking animations with the AK12 look way more refined than everything i've seen?

Simple, use a gas mask in the rain :)

It’s not instant. Make sure you not allow weathers you don’t want to spawn .

Im still playing CS with SRP (and COP after that) but I'm planning on playing one of these mods (EFP, Anomaly, Gamma) after that. My main question about these is this: with all the visual/animation/gameplay changes that are made in these mods, is the enemy AI adjusted as well?
Yeah the Enemy AI can be brutal!
As of now. I think Gamma have adjusted the AI enemy. Now there must more argo to kill you and will flank and charge at your position. But to always on the move and with good HARD cover not the wood cover.
Hi Custer! I installed EFP using your links in description. I have played GAMMA and wanted to try EFP as well to see which one i prefer and noticed that none of the weapons from EFP pack has animation when i check for ammo, the only ones that have it are the MDR and SAF that you provided, and are external to the mod pack. I find this strange because in GAMMA most weapons have that animation although i installed the ultimate weapon pack.
I thought that efp would have this animations since it contains BaS weapons. I am doing something wrong? Is there any external mod that i can use with EFP so i can have the check for ammo animation in more weapons? Thanks in advanced and sorry if i am making a dumb question :P
Youre not doing anything wrong, i think its the ammo check mod but im not sure if it goes with all BAS weapons
This is probably the easiest of the two mod packs to install which is super nice. Also if you simply want STALKERS to spawn every where you step then this is the mod for you as the spawn limit can be increased past 1
Yeah EFP fights can be crazy. Warfare Mode especially is just insane

Dude I always had a shity Pc but now I bought myself a machine every game is like 500fps + , never played Stalker but I enjoy watching it you play the story and everything you do is soo satisfying, I’m gonna give it a try myself.

Understand it now have fillers like in Metro. But do I still need a top-of-the-line mask for north of the zone?
So there are 3 different filters, each of them more powerfull then the other. The further up north you go the better filter you will need, otherwise you die. On that note, better filters also last longer. To go underground however, you will need a full face suit with oxigen tanks

Its not about the river or water. I think imo its tornados bringing them there but u could be right
Makes sense! Some of the bigger ships obviously got stucked when the water went away but there´s some smaller ones in weird spots that could have been moved there by emissions

just a question why can't someone release a version with all these enhancements so that you don't have to download all these individual mods. the game looks great like this.
Probably not worth it. A lot of people´s PCs wouldn´t be able to handle and secondly, updates.

Probably because of how good and cinematic he makes them look! There's no telling how many hours of editing, downloading and testing mods, the gameplay itself, etc. it takes for Custer to make these videos. These are the highest quality videos I've ever seen on TH-cam, right up there with FrankieonPC

So, they do take a bit of time to make but NOT one month´s worth of time 😅
Just to give you an idea. For this pretty small 18 minute video i had over 20h of gameplay to go trought, most of it was cut out as it was normal stuff like looting bodies, moving from one place to another, visiting traders, failed gunfights, deaths etc etc.
I also do spend at least one day or 2 trying new mods before any video i make.
The goal is to always bring new fresh stuff to the table, hence why i only upload STALKER once a month.
The most time consuming part is the B - Roll (The cinematic segments)
With this video, i wanted to make transitions without using effects so half of it became.. Cinematics. - Super overkill but it´s a learning curve.
Those cinematics take forever. So lets say theres 7 minutes of cinematics on this video, they were cut ouf of hours of hours of footage, which then, after being selected i had to stabilize so they aren´t choppy and as seen, look like they were recorded by a controller and not a mouse.
This is boring as hell and takes forever to render.
Plus music selection, brainstorming ideas, etc etc.
Editing takes maybe another day or so, and with a different clip every 5 to 10 seconds or so like in this case, it was a pain in the butt.
So yeah, its at least 7 to 10 days of work for one S.T.A.L.K.E.R. video and most of it goes unnoticed.
And that´s too much, i need to simply it, im aware 😅
What made me take so long before my last upload was:
- I´ve been sick a lot this past week
- I had a video under NDA to release but got postponed
. I started work on a big S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Movie (It´s going great so far)
- I did half of another video set to release this month.
- I had to do a fresh Install of Anomaly..Twice (I install so much stuff i always end up breaking it somehow)
- Crippling ADHD :)

I wish I could get my game looking this good. I tried to install the exp mod pack and it was working then it wasn't. Kept saying fatal error even though i followed the instructions in read me file. Im new to modding and pcs in general. So some of these modding videos seem confusing a bit to me. I installed Anomaly with no issues. Idk what i did wrong with the exp mod pack.
Mate, Exp is really outdated. Just follow the links, get EFP for your Anomaly, then add in the graphical mods and voila
@@CusterPlays i saw your video where you were running the mod and going over settings. I thought it looked amazing. Im adraid of messing something up. Im new to pc gaming and pcs in general. I was surprised i got anomaly and updated patch installed the first try. And when i downloaded exp it started up and everything. Went to start game picked my items to start out with and then when I hit start it said fatal error and booted back to desktop. I heard efp was more complicated and wanted to see if I could install a simpler mod first. I will give efp a go this weekend probably. Fingers crossed.

Hmm, I can see why you might feel that way as I should have zoomed in post edit, but I actually took out 3 zombified stalkers in that clip and then proceeded to finish them off. I have really good center screen aim and with all the rain I was experiencing it was easier for me to can’t the weapon and see targets a little bit better, either that or an optic. Hope that explains it, have a good one ☝️
