Great review!!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us, and it sounds like you are feeling somewhat better!!!! I hope you continue to improve and all of your family are doing well also!! My best to your lovely wife, your fuzzy family, and your newest additions to your fuzzy family!!!!!
Thank you Adam, indeed we are feeling better. I am having new ideas as well but making better things also means it does cost more :-) Have this one idea that would require a CO2 Laser cutter because having them cut by a company would just cost too much. Luckily I still have my unfinished PNP machine which I could easily convert into a Laser cutter as well, had it in mind while building it anyway. Will see, since I still have about 20-25 years of working in front of me, I am sure one day it will happen, lol. All my best to you and your whole family as well. Stay safe.
I've been toying with the idea of buying a laser cutter/engraver, but I still haven't talked myself into pulling the trigger just yet. I can't quite justify the cost because i would end up not making any money selling stuff. I would instead, end up giving lots of things away to family and friends :) I'm so glad to hear you're all feeling better!! YAYY!!!!!
@@ajones4064 Knowing you I can see that you would give more stuff away than selling it. But I am sure you would end up getting requests and people willing to pay for them. Especially with engraving you can make lots of cool stuff. and Etsy is a perfect market place to sell stuff within the US. With the many ideas I have for some time now, not counting the last one, I could probably make good money selling stuff here in Bulgaria as nobody offers any Laser engraving services. Might even make more money than selling electronics. I just could never get the money together to buy or build a Laser cutter but the PNP is half of the machine already. "Just" need a CO2 Tube, a power supply and a nozzle. The rest like the controller and mirrors I can do myself, and the hardware itself is already done. Hmmm, I think I should look into the required parts, maybe I can buy them one by one and get started sooner than I might think :-)
Hi Hayri. Is there any way to make one of these indicators that starts off showing gear 4? The vehicle im building will have paddle shifters on the steering wheel to electronically shift between the 4 forward gears (#4 thru #1). However, when the transmission is placed into the "paddle shift"/manual mode, it does so from the highest forward gear, which is 4. From there, you paddle down into 1st and back up to 4th. I can easily provide the ground inputs needed for the indicators up and down shifting. I can even use the "paddle shift ON" switch to power on the indicator, so its only ON when paddle mode is on. Hopefully this is something possible, even for additional cost whenever you find time? Hope to hear back soon, Thanks!
Hi, technically it is possible, just have to look into the code, from my understanding it is still sequential right? Btw, I am also working on a new gear indicator that will use a 8x8 LED matrix to show the numbers, letters or whatever you can draw on a 64 pixel matrix for that matter.
