Got into steve 2 weeks ago, thanks to your tech and vids i hit tenryu. Dont get me wrong it is a minefield out there, but he feels so rewarding to play in 8 as there are so many strong picks. So thankyou from a new steve main. Keep up the awesome content! And im open to anyone reviewing my matches and giving me some solid tips. ❤
thx for your videos as a steve main who picked him up after not playing tekken 6 and 7 i was kinda frustrated how broken other characters are and how difficult it will be with steve to climb the ranks. But your videos really help.
Have picked up Steve due to my main, Miguel not making the cut. I have a tiny bit of experience playing as Steve once or twice in Tekken 7 why is why i’ve picked him up now. Currently hard stuck Destroyer but this really helps.
Yeah in T8 you really have to work hard for Steve to work against non-mashers. So when you do get a win with him, you know it's because you earned it. And that is rare in a game where most characters got buffed and now seem to have lots of BS moves and evasive launchers...
other than WR2(FFF2), all of tool you mention on the video, I've been it using for pressure 😂. cause I'm not quick enough for presing triple forward when close range 😅. and for the tips don't overused 4 1 2 and 3 1 2 for player who know steve matchup very well😂. since that string doesn't jail and end of the string is high so easily to duck, well even though we have mid option but that doesn't make you to overused that move 😂.
True but it mostly works if the opponents back is at wall, they will try to.use their fastest move which is jab to Interupt your flow most of the times and you can do 4,1,2 to dodge and punish them. Works for me all the time
@@OMAIR_8928 yup...and when our opponent jab string was whiff, we can do 4 2 for wall splat or continuing do 4 1 2 to pressure 😂. seriously if Lion Heart Stance has Sidestep in it, it would be great, cause that would be nightmare at wall 😂
I'm only red rank as well and it's sometimes hard to apply pressure, especially when you don't have T7 Steve experience how to use PKB, cancels, etc. I play Tekken casually for 30 years, but I only started with Steve in November last year in T7. My advice is to never do a heat burst. Try to whiff punish with heat engagers(ALB 2 is a very underrated safe move with insane reach!) or do moves that are +14 on hit(b2, db1+2, ub2, sway 1) for free 1+2 and easy mix-up. Heat smash is also great because it gives you free mix-up again.
It means Albatross. It is kind if a stance that Steve has. 3+4 is the input. Steve while going forward turns around 360° and by pressing 2 or down 2 he does a mid or low attack
df2 and qcb1 are mids and have good range. utilize lionheart more to avoid and punish turn steal dickjabs and low pokes. 3 into f3 or f4 into 2 usually catches them pressing if they use jabs. not failproof, but good ones to use.
peakaboo still super good. t7 playstyle isn’t good anymore because of all his crazy ch nerfs. if they fix b1 wet noodle dmg and make lionheart useable he is totally fine imo because in peakaboo he still has everything and also at the wall he has some crazy stuff with 312 jab destruction because let’s be real the favorite move at the wall is jab haha

Thanks the ceiling in this game is so high and your channel is helping a lot
Whoa ive never heard the term ceiling in. Imma use that
Steve takes a lot of effort

Just be patient. You’ll get there
@@system331 Thanks for this ! currently at Tenryu !
1:25 Great example that even blue rank can sometimes eat slow unblockable when set up correctly 😝
Green ranks would actually mash in this situation.
😂 Good clip as always keep them coming.
Qcf1 into flicker back 2 just cleans up.
@1:02 Lili Luffy skin
You're a match saver thank you 🙏
Tekken 8 Steve is really satisfying

I’m struggling what to do after low poking
love the vids
Could you do a video on frame traps? I feel like going into stances, stance cancellations, mind games etc don't work on button mashers
Do more video like this. Can u post some match from you plz?
Thank you so much bro ❤
Gotta go practice a lot using Steve. After doing combo challenges, I got destroyed in ranks :D

@m.yudiyudi2316 true
WR moves from close range are now piss easy in T8.
@@KrisDee1981 still im not confident with my WR execution in close range 😂
My man, where are you from? What are the chances that we run the ones? I'm a purple rank Steve from Colorado and I'm looking to step my game up.
I’m red rank but still struggling to pressure .. why didnt u make this easier 😂?
It needs a little practice. Steve as a whole is a character that takes time to get good. 👍

@@5hates6 3+4 spin
Okay but most high level people spam kbd against steve and crushing low pokes with a couple mids. What do you do then?
Use 121, b1, df2, etc. to make them scared to press. Then you can dash block or duck cancel to get in their face.
df2 and qcb1 are mids and have good range. utilize lionheart more to avoid and punish turn steal dickjabs and low pokes. 3 into f3 or f4 into 2 usually catches them pressing if they use jabs.

This is a weird question but is fff2 done as
n,f,n,f,n,f + 2
Or
n,f,n,f,n,f,n + 2
?
It’s a while running move so triple tap forward 2
FF, F+2
Shu shu
Steve is really bad in tekken 8
Why?
I wouldn't say he's that bad. All his tools are still very solid. Lionheart stance needs a buff, though.
If you suck with Steve there are much easier characters to play with.
Ur bad
I think hes just harder a lot more versatile compared to tekken 7
