The 562 had a rocky history in terms of development. Good news is that the lessons learned were incorporated into the 565/572 bad news there are like 4 different versions of the 562xp. Also I agree the hot start is a issues for the 562.
Right on with the "fast idle" hot start. Took me a while to figure it out (in lieu of reading the manual, lol) as never had such a "problem" with other Husqvarnas.
Not sure if your timing on this vid was perfect or not as I just ordered a 562 this morning! lol Pretty good deals (maybe) to be had on new huskies at the moment so I couldn’t pass up getting one for the price of an echo 620. Guess we’ll find out in a few days if it was worth it. 😉👍🏼👍🏼
This is excellent and I am very glad to hear it. But you have heard it elsewhere right? It's a very well known issue that most have. It's not nearly as bad with a muffler mod and cooler weather. Heat soaks back into the carburetor and the fuel vaporizes. Gotta pump the primer bulb to get fresh gas into the carb and set to high idle. It is so well known that Husky has a step by step hot start procedure in the manual. When temps are cooler or you don't wait long, it isn't as noticeable. It was about 90⁰F on this day.
Hey, just to mention since Boedy mentioned me in the video, my 562XP is backup and running great (except Hot starting). That is a fact. I think that it may depend on my climate. I have been operating the saw in high temps and high humidity. We will see when the saw gets run this fall and winter. My saw did not end up have an air leak as the dealer did a leak down test on it. Husqvarna flashed the saw which didn't help, they replaced the carb, same issues came about, then reflashed it once more. That was when I was a bit frustrated. You know what? It is working since the last flash. I have been running the crud out of it and prefer running it to my Echo CS-620PW. All of this is well documented on my channel. I run a 28" bar on the 562 often but it is best with a 20 or 24"
Very glad to hear it got sorted out! A muffler mod will really help out on its heat issues. I know you'll wanna keep your warranty, but you could always buy a used muffler on ebay and mod it. That way you'll have the original on hand for warranty work!
I personally run a 24 or 28" on mine and have experienced no further trouble. Just because the bar is that length, doesn't mean however I am bucking 24"+ wood all of the time. The saw is very nice with a 20" bar on it as well but I find that I rarely put that on there. I run a 20" .325 on my 545 and I like that very well. I have never checked specific temperatures but always make sure the saw is cutting well. @@johngardner3020
Had mine ported by top name in the business, it does run great, but i was expecting it to replace my 372xp. It will run the SHIT outta a 20", but still isnt a 24" rig like a 372xp/ 462cm etc
Dang! I've been rocking a 28" bar from day one on the 562 without troubles. 20" bar/full house chain works just fine on my pre-rancher (comparatively anemic) 450xp. Mostly MI hardwoods.
Im got a few basket cases 562 saws and I built one of them and deleted the primer bulb and it runs fine , so I'm not sure why people have issues , I have a new 562 last year for my birthday and never had that restarting issues

I even run stihl quarter pitch pole saw bar and chain on my top handles and my echo 2511t. Between echo 2511t and 201t. And husqvarna t540i those 3 saws do 75 percent of removals except obviously the spar..but on some trees they do that to.for me 462 cm is best all around tree care saw that's with bolt on 5 mods..I like my new 500i it's more torqued but sounds like it's blowing up four stroke ing..462 has that real carburetor saw sound with bark box .absolutely love that saw I know I heard they have piston rock or play in the cylinders. Even Donnie walker said so.but other wise just great saw it's a TAD bit lighter than 500i but not much I have wrap handke on the 500i so it's kinda of pain to try fit it in work trucks .I don't do like buckin and all those guys throwing saw in back pickup bed and outside its to wett here in smokies mountain s..a cloud of moisture comes over every day and night. Anything outilside will be ruined.i have max flow and the velocity stack for the 500i but wanted to break it in before installing them.but guna anyway because I put gordys mods on all mystihl saws rite away. Stihl saws need uni oil filters I my opinion there filters are garbage .husqvarna has better air filter s but are heavier and just lacking
@@sawboatsndarmwrestling I was under the impression they have the 550 figured out, its on the Mark2 designation now and I thought most issues with it had been resolved when that change was made. Your saw with the 2022 serial number has upgraded bearings and carrier’s like the mark ii . Your welcome they don’t have issues anymore

That's a great secondary saw for climbing. It'll rip right through anything
If you look at weight to power, in stock form, does anything beat the ms400? To me the ms400 is about the best all around saw on the market.
In my opinion those paper numbers don’t apply to in the wood. 🤷🏻♂️
Aggree.
400 is a damn fine saw imo
