I’ve never seen a 562 perform that poorly. Pound for pound, it’s the best power to weight ratio saw in the market. The 362 is a great salt, the 562 should’ve smoked it. I’ve done so many of these comparisons. I’ve had not one but three friends sell their 362s to buy 562’s.
I have a walkerized 362c that’s probably 6 years old and my dad just bought the 2024 husky 562xp my 362c came with a 24 inch bar but I changed it to a 20 inch bar with what I was told a full throttle tooth chain instead of a skip tooth and it eats wood like nothing! Can’t wait to do the comparison!
My personal opinion is that you listen to the saw even in doing comparison the saw tells you what it likes and how it gives you its best performance, the second guy is a lot better with a saw than the first. Both guys are pretty good with saws, but a brand new oregon chain it should have been husky hands down, but overall good job fellas I appreciate your videos keep up the good work, this is my favorite new channel
Oregon chains are good chains to use but it matters what type of chain being used a full chisel would be best or semi chisel would be OK too but I do prefer Husqvarna full chisel chains in thicker wood
As explained in the video he was running Stihl chain which obviously affects the comparison. But if you look at the log, the piece he was cutting with the Husky had branch whorls in it all the way around which threw off the speed of cut too. In future comparisons I'll be using hardwood without branch whorls.
This is a false test, I have a Husqvarna 562 xpG with 18inch xcut chain and it blazes through. I just cut a yellow birch 17.5 inch round green wood and it took 20 seconds or less and it was half dull. I will grab my brand new chain backup and try again fully sharp. So change that Oregon chain for a real Xcut chain that is recommended for the saw. You are comparing apples to oranges. Misleading people by not doing fair test. It is a 3/8 pitch and throws chips. I seen in this video the Husqvarna chain is throwing dust not chips. Try again boys.
This is a BS test!! I own both saws an my 562xp it's the 362 alive. I'm not brand biased like these gentlemen are. I own an love a lil of everything. I've logged for over 20+ years an I can tell you 100% the Husqvarna chain is a far superior chain to that of the stihl.
Pitoyable, les deux machines ne sont pas à égalité? La Stihl à une chaine qui coupe contrairement à la Husqvarna Quelle besoin de dénigrer un produit aux profit d'un autre !!! peut-être la rémunération ou simplement la bêtise
The all new 562xp Mark II goes on sale in the US in a few months. Lighter with tons of upgrades and more low end torque- plus a lower price. The Stihl MS362 won’t have a chance.
I’m looking to buy a chainsaw this week. I’m comparing both brands. It seems that the Stihls turn a touch more RPMs and they eat through wood because of it. The Husky balance better, are often times referred to as more comfortable to run and many claim they are longer lasting because they don’t rev quite as hard. I’m wanting something around the 55cc range. We have both Stihl and Husky chainsaws on the farm. They are older and smaller saws. Neither are pro saws. We make them work. I’m kinda wanting a do it all saw. We had a massive straight line wind event and about every chain saw around the area was sold except the huge ones that are $1000 and more. They did have a Stihl 291 and 362 I looked at. I’m wanting to go check out the Husky offerings this week as well. Is there any other brands I should compare? I am not going to be running this saw really hard. It will be used mainly for storm clean up. I am wanting the ability to cut whatever I encounter though. I wonder if a 271 wouldn’t be enough for me though.
My first saw was an MS271. I used it to start my tree service. It's highly capable and reliable with plenty of power especially for a new user. I transitioned over to using Husqvarna because I prefer the lesser vibration of those saws. But you sacrifice the high power to weight ratio when you walk away from Stihl because nobody makes saws with a better ratio than Stihl. I personally feel the weight-cutting measures that Stihl takes are not worth it and a lot more of the parts are plastic. But Stihl saws are more reliable and the parts are easier to get here in the States, at least where I live. You need good parts availability and service, and nobody offers better than Stihl. Most Husqvarna parts are 2 weeks out while Stihl dealers by me can get my parts within just a couple days usually.
I agree. The chains should have been out of the box. But a true test would have used identical chain on both saws. I am planning on a rematch between these saws with stricter controls on the test. Same chain, properly warmed up, and a piece of long hardwood from a tree's main stem with no branches.
You are correct, the stihl had stihl rs chain while the husky was running oregon full chisel. However if you watch the whole video you see my cuts come out as a much better comparison, within just a second or less
@@easyeddystrees figgered somthen was up. I still prefer the oregon full chisel (power cut" myself. Been runnen some of the husqvarna full chisel too. Def a harder chain. this is impossible for a Stihl chain, it's completely new, it's not fair, it's not done like that, mate, layers on the new board with a chain and the result will be completely different
A good sharp chain will pull its self thu the whole cut. Matter of fact you only need one hand on saw until cut is almost finished. If u get it good , if u dont well....
Both chains were brand new but the Stihl was running a Stihl chain and the Husqvarna had Oregon Chain. That definitely threw off the comparison. I would say we weren't properly prepared when we did this video.

You are exactly right. It won't stay running and when it's hot it won't start. Same with the 550xp, what a waste of money. I still hate running Stihl because they vibrate so much - I just can't win.
You're right about that. I've meant to remake this video for a long time but I don't run Husqvarna saws any more due to the many reliability problems and the lack of available parts and service.

I've had the exact experience you describe. Husqvarna saws are a massive disappointment and have constant troubles that are impossible to diagnose or repair after one or two years of use.
Somethings wrong here. That 562xp should go right through that wood just as quick or quicker than the stihl.
You are correct. They should have had the same chain and the test should have been on a section of hardwood without unions.
