I heard dismissed ran to the PX, ran back to the parade deck grabbed my bag and got on a bus to the airport. I was on a plane before I believed it was really over.
These are gonna be some badass Marines because the platoon is half the size. That's more one on one time with these recruits during boot camp, school of infantry, Marine combat training and MOS school.
MEPS came to us in Atlanta. (Likely because our recruiting station is only 6 or so miles away from it, but still.) I wonder if that’s the new norm. My ship date to MCRD Parris Island was changed a few times and is now 04/05/2020 largely due to the halving of recruits processed and accepted onto the island. I still eagerly await the day my, and the other recruits, training will actually begin! At least the two week quarantine period (Phase Q? Yeah. Let’s call it Phase Q) will allow us to exercise and get used to the daily flow of things. However, with all of this time in the custody of the Corps, I doubt anything can prepare us for our first meeting with a *Drill Instructor!* -besiiiiides perhaps imagining they are T-800 terminators that are *LIVID* and simply waiting to close in on you if you screw up! (Dundun dun Dundun 💀) Good luck at with the process, Applicants/Poolees. Stay healthy!

Get into the poolee program, u get to enlist, workout (not during corona tho), and you get to choose your MOS and get ready for bootcamp. Im a sr. in highschool and im already enlisted, as well as the recruiting stations guide (rss pasadena) being in the program has made me go from 0 to hero in terms of fitness and marine corp knowledge.

I got my ship date pushed back to june 1. I would have been in a hotel waiting to ship out tommorow. 1 month is not going to slow me down though, can't wait to get there.
Marines are always expected to adapt and overcome new environments. That's the bad ass aspect of them though, they are made to adapt to difficult environments all the time.

@Stoopid vvc did you talk to a recruiter yet? I would recommend trying first go to a couple recruiters tell them you really want this, never know unless you try. But yes it's a privilege and an honor to join.
