Robert Levin delivers a historically informed performance on a period fortepiano with improvised embellishments, adherence to continuo practices, and his signature improvised cadenzas. AHH that ending gets me every time, it’s like Mozart breaking the 4th wall saying “everything is gonna be okay”, and you can tell by the laughter that Levin animated that intent (there’s another video where you can see him do this)

Excuse me sir but Beethoven's compared to these are abominations. Levin's cadenzas are the only ones I can call operatic without a cringe.

I like that interesting "twang" on the forte base notes. Very interesting texturally.
