Franklin, NC - Landslides & Flooding April 2020

- The night of April 12th into the 13th Franklin, NC was hit with some very powerful storms. There were landslides and lots of localized flooding. This four part video documents some of those places here in Franklin.
1. Landslide on Pressley Road
2. Little Tennesee River/Greenway/Siler Rd
3. Industrial Park Soccer Fields and SCC Training Area
4. Major Landslide Cartoogechaye Creek Area
A wonderful musical experience
That's what happens when you get Two hurricanes just days apart with waterlogged soil.
That slide was in the Peeks Creek Community and the slide came from FishHawk Mtn. Happened in the late evening hours. I don't remember the number exactly,, but there were several losses that is still feeling the Lost Friends and Family.❤️
Nature is impressive, you did a good job on the video. I feel sorry for the people that were in the path of the landslide. I hope everyone made it safe. I am looking to move to Franklin, what is it like to live here?
me too. Fortunately no one was injured in any of the incidents.
How far off of hwy 64 was the Cartoogechaye creek slide?
It was well off 64, a few miles back from Parker Meadows Park if that helps?
Is this unusual for the area?
we have had some slides in the past, but it isn't common, we've just had a ton of rain
