- Providing more - and more reliable - electricity to Indonesian households is an important step to Indonesia’s future prosperity. This is why, in 2016, a consortium led by SAIPEM was commissioned to tap an important gas field off the Indonesian coastline. Essential to this project was a Floating Production Unit: a facility capable of processing, storing and transporting gas to the mainland via underwater pipelines.
To save time, the unit, called Jangkrik, was built in two parts - the hull in South Korea and the topside module on the Indonesian island of Karimun. It was the first time anyone had ever attempted to skid and load out a 14,273-ton module onto a Floating Production Unit hull.

hey Mammoet. It would be very nice if you could post longer videos from your projects. The work you do around the world is truly amazing, and condensing the video into 3 minutes, simply just isnt enough... I think a lot of the viewers would enjoy longer videos.
A short version along side the long version. That way I can watch the short clip to see if I want to make popcorn for the full feature :)
I'm here maintaining your Jangkrik bos.. :)
I'm from Indonesia, would say
Thanks you for this video.
It's impressive!
An amazing time-consuming operation.
It seems that with each project the gap between simplicity of concept and sophistication of its execution grows.
