Notice that in this outstanding episode of Combat, the enemy has the power and makes the rules, but the prisoners have the live free or die patriotic spirit that prevails, defining what a true American should be, when in God we trust is reality, especially when that is all you have left.

    Vic Morrow died so tragically!
Also see him in a rare Masterpiece, MEN IN WAR (1957), Where he plays a troubled Soldier with PTSD in Korea, a Survivor of his nearly wiped out outfit by Commies.

One of my favorite show that I get to watch in Malaysia in the early 70's. We only had 2 black & white TV channels then. Just noticed a blunder at 18:35 when it can be seen the cup was empty. Should have put some real liquid to authenticate the scene. I would think the real krautz would have them shoes removed if not have them stripped down yet. Or knot them feets by pairs so that they wont run easily or tie them down individually in the barn so that they wont have comfort and convenience to rest, discuss and plan their escape! Love this Combat show!

So amazing is this prisoner of war ESCAPE episode. Yes, in The Long Way Home we see illustrated the kind of combat wit of witty inventions that the wisdom of God gives, that we need in these perilous times. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man : but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able ; but will with the temptation also make a way to ESCAPE, that ye may be able to bear it.

1944. The Nazi gospel was a master race for the world pure and simple no other
    idea was conceivable for them.
