Hi Ben. Glad to see you put your seasonal reservations behind you and joined us Northerners in celebrating Summer when it should be. The best thing about Winter is the snow. It's the rain and the fact it gets dark at about 3p.m. that I can't be doing with. I listened to Tailem Bend after "Mike" Carlson showed it. Bloody awesome . Just listened to The 1980s. Great drum intro on Nothing So mate. When is the EP released ? Sorry can't make Fitzroy. I'll have to wait for the UK leg of your World tour. Meeting other weirdos from the VC makes it all worthwhile. Your meet up with some Canadian legends looked like a lot of fun.

I like the bit where he meets that girl in America..then he finds himself chained to a bed., she sounded pretty nuts!I think they might be re realising 'Do The Hack' I hope so, because ive never seen it in the wild. Yeah hopefully ive got a couple of meet ups coming up, which is always a surreal experience!

Bloody northerners 😂 When I was a kid we had spiders which was coke with a scoop of ice cream. Fancy! Tailem Bend...now that you say I think I said it was in Victoria! Orb a fantastic. They started off sounding a lot like early black Sabbath, but turned into something very interesting incorporating those kind of riffs, an almost funky drummer and King Crimson weirdness. Somehow the songs are catchy and have a real groove. They've been around for a while and played in stacks of other Melbourne bands like Frowning Clouds, Hierophants, Bonniwells & Traffik Island. You're too kind re: my northern summer experience. I was just very, very lucky to have got that GB box at the time. I didn't do anything special to get signed stuff. Just was lucky to be in the first 100 or so to pre-order it all those years ago. Cheers...Ben PS It's actually 21c today so not bad, but don't tell any northerners.
