I hear you on the overspending. Sinking funds are awesome for things like clothes and back to school! It's hard not to beat yourself up but the only way forward is forward

Yes I need to get to a spot where I have sinking funds so I can be prepared for things like that! Thanks for the encouragement 💜

You're on the right track with your plan. Getting rid of credit card spending, allocating a certain amount to debt and savings. When you have made that $500 savings a priority, you have done it. Your debt needs the same. Pay it first. And then make yourself live on what is left. You do make a good income, and the spending habits are the issue, and without figuring that out, you'll likely continue the cycle. Ask me how I know 😂
I also learned differentiating between a want and a need matters. Clothing for that fits my kids is a need- $600 worth probably weren't all needs. Or all needs right now. Just as an example. It's so easy to just let it happen with a credit card. Living in my checking account with a hard bottom (or cash) is really a sink or swim situation to get in control of finances.
I enjoy watching your videos and I am confident you can do it ❤

Sounds like you have a good plan going forward. Stopping credit card usage and using cash for variable expenses was going to be my suggestion. I make sure to make debt payments and savings contributions first so i don't skimp on them then like u said all we have left is all we have left and regret decision after that is a conscious one based on what's left

You are doing great! It’s important to see where you can improve. And don’t beat yourself up about it! August wil be better! Keep the yoga that’s really important! But I think removing the card and trying to do most with debit cards would be maybe an idea to keep from over using the CC. And maybe seeing what you spend in de last 3 months in expanses to get better averages and an idea how much to contribute to sinking funds

I would keep the yoga, your wellbeing is super important.
It's frustrating when everything is so expensive at the moment, it's so hard to stick to lower budget.
It's nice that your husband is supportive 😊

Just keep in mind if you sell any stock you will need to pay taxes on your gain. Check out short term and long term capital gains.
