Don't forget to listen to the ORCHESTRAL VERSION: lnk.to/1XKjTG
As you probably already know from my previous compositions, my works usually reflect my feelings and thoughts that accompanied or occupied me at the time. This composition is a little darker than the previous ones, and when you read the title you might ask yourself: Why so negative?
I believe that we are living in the most exciting and thrilling time in human history, in which technical possibilities and innovations are developing exponentially. During the creation phase of this composition, I dealt intensively with the topic of artificial intelligence, as I am generally very enthusiastic about technology. The current state of development of humanoid robots such as Figure 01 or the new Atlas from Boston Dynamics overwhelmed me. I am also fascinated (and scared) by AI music platforms such as Suno or Udio, which can generate complete songs just with a short prompt. The new ChatGPT-4 Omni model also enables even more natural communication between humans and machines and has recently become available to everyone.
I find it fascinating, but also frightening, to see the leaps in quality that AI models have made in just a few months, and we are still at the very beginning. I am very excited to see what will change in the next 5 to 10 years. My personal emotional state currently fluctuates between absolute enthusiasm and fascination for what humans can create and, at the same time, concern about the possible negative effects of an AI transformation. This could not only have a huge impact on the creative professions, but also the entire job market and other areas of life. Every change brings advantages and disadvantages, and I very much hope that the advantages of AI will ultimately outweigh the disadvantages. Maybe it's all just a lot of hype - although Bill Gates said in 1993: "The internet is just hype." And here we are.
So why this title? It's just because of my everlasting fascination for dystopian movies, especially those in which AI takes control and tries to wipe out or enslave humanity. Not because I think that could happen in reality. Let's at least hope that it doesn't happen...

Interesting take on the current situation of this world... Honestly, being a CS sophomore, I use AI pretty much every single day... Your concerns are pretty valid, even I am frightened or rather a better word would be confused. Can't wait to see what the future brings... In my opinion, the best thing we can do right now is to educate ourselves and to slow down... Enjoy small moments with our loved ones and embrace the world as it unfolds... Cheers :D

For me - better 💎Patrik💎 is The Nr 1🏆 When I saw (hear) for the first time, after maybe 3 videos I knew he is best arranger ever. Then compositions came in... Starting from Ani's Ballad every was big event. Emotional, Epic, Breathtaking, just Perfect ❤ I''m 41, ~32 years with Piano, few in past maybe not playing regulary, but always it was huge part of my life. I don't feel worthy to address him directly, so I would like to say "Thank you" to his parents for giving him life and creating conditions that he could play Piano. Amen 😎

The sad truth is, that only a very few People can achieve such perfection, as Patrick.
If you don't start at a very young age, have talent, and dedicate almost your whole time to it, you have no chance. You can get good, but not THAT good.
I started at 10… had lessons till 15. Started again at 21 by learning myself... But with ADHS I never had the concentration and focus... Now I really regret it....

Jesus loves you ❤️ Please repent and turn to Him and receive Salvation before it is too late. The end times written about in the Bible are already happening in the world. Jesus is the son of God and He died for our sins on the cross and God raised Him from the dead on the third day. Jesus is waiting for you with open arms but time is running out. Please repent and turn to Him before it is too late. Accept Jesus into your heart and invite Him to be Lord and Saviour of your life and confess and believe that Jesus is Lord, that He died for your sins on the cross and that God raised Him from the dead. Confess that you are a sinner in need of God's Grace and ask God to forgive you for all your sins through Jesus.
Jesus loves you. Nothing can compare to how He loves you. When He hung on that cross, He thought of you. As they tore open His back, He thought of your prayer time with Him. As the thorns dug into His head, He thought of you spending time reading the Bible. As the spears went into His side, He imagined embracing you in heaven.

Elegant as always Patrik- the chords and the melody fit together perfectly to create something so vivid and alive. I can't think of two other words that would better describe this song. Reminded me a little of your arrangement of the tenet theme at first, but the left hand just it deeper and more and the scenery more real. Of course I had been waiting for you to upload since your arrangement of Dune 2, but I'd been expecting it to take a few more weeks; I was pleasantly surprised. Dear Patrik,
I listened the day you released this, but I wasn't able to comment until now.
I've been subscribed for almost 4 entire years now, and you've influenced my musical journey so much. I've discovered my love for film scores and composers like Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Michael Giacchino, James Horner, and Danny Elfman. Your arrangements on their scores are just as good as the original and nearly better!
Watching your channel grow has been my pleasure, and now watching you explore your own compositions with their own backgrounds is so amazing.
"Dystopia" is my newest favorite. It's like you took Zimmer's idea of making a piece out of harmonies (instead of a thematic melody like John Williams does) and gave them your own voice, which I love so much. Thank you for sharing your music with us, I cannot wait to see where your talent goes!

@@PatrikPietschmann ofc dude! Seriously, I need someone to start making tutorials of your pieces-
Just a bit difficult for me, a pianist with only 2 years of experience.

This is truly fantastic! You have your own textural and harmonic language that is unique to you. I love that you are sharing your own compositions with the world. Even though it's a departure from your transcritptions it is welcome and absolutely appreciated.

Absolutely brilliant, off to purchase shortly. Patrik, if you read this, I want to thank you for the impact you have had on my life. I couldn't play for many years due to illness, and I discovered your music as I was getting better. Only I couldn't play it because my technique had wasted away. I spent a year rebuilding my technique from the ground up, just so I could play your music. Playing filmic music gives me so much joy. I am having the time of my life learning both your Dune arrangements at the moment and own most of your arrangements (and Blue Rhythms which I utterly adore). Much gratitude. 🙏

This is my favorite of your compositions yet! It feels dark and brooding, yet a bit hopeful. It could be a villain’s theme.
I really like how the piece seems to get heavier as it continues yet lighter at the end!

This is amazing like all your compositions, Patrik❤ I have a hard enough time learning and memorizing intermediate piano covers, and I'm just not sure how you compose these long, complicated, incredible, and beautiful songs. You are very talented! I recently got your arrangement of Hedwig's Theme and I'm determined to learn to play it one day😊 Thank you for sharing your music!!

There are so many layers to this, I'm picking out Thomas Bergersen, Hans Zimmer, Jean-Michel Jarre Christoffer Moe Ditlevsen, then I hear the epic chords only Patrik can do, plus elements of his previous compositions. Incredible

I have been following your compositions and arrangements, and I love everyone of them
your thoughts and the stories behind your videos are very interesting
You inspired me to follow my dreams, I have learned your compositionA New Horizon
And I have played it on a concert, I am very proud and grateful that I have came across your channel a few years ago.
Your descriptions and thoughts are very interesting. I too am intrigued with technological changes and evolution.
From just mobile phones being created, search engines to artificial intelligence,
Who could have thought AI could be so advance they generate images, videos and music
ChatGPT evolution and each versions, Music Platforms, AI images generators and lots more.
It's fascinating how AI has evolved, and also a bit scary, how more natural and more capabilities that AI can do each day, and how easy it is to just write a prompt, and get a result.
    And for my inspiration,
in your each of your compositions, everytime I listen to them, I feel the nature of life from overcoming obstacles, improving yourself, carrying beautiful emotions and inspiring audiences, and it's like everytime I listen to your music, I feel a lot more drive and hope, and I'm able to focus more and empowering myself to follow my dreams.
This Music is really interesting, when I listen it makes me imagine that I could hear the mysteries, and the evolution of technologies and the theme involving sci fi and dystopia movies, but most significantly is THIS is very EPIC, love this! Vielen dank Patrik Pietschmann
Ich komme aus Thailand, und Ich bin 12 Jahre Alt, vielenk dank, Sie sind die Beste!
You are the best ever, Thank you Patrik Pietschmann
