Here is my third original composition in a row, of which I also produced an orchestral version again. You can listen to it on all music streaming services. Since some people asked me if I can upload my orchestral versions to TH-cam as well, I decided after all to publish them on TH-cam Music and thus on TH-cam as well, even though I'm not a fan of how music singles and albums are generally embedded on TH-cam. But of course I want to make it as easy as possible for you to listen to my music and I know that not everyone can afford a subscription to a music streaming service.
Lately I've been thinking a lot about human life itself, about how each and every one of us goes through and has to master certain phases of life. No matter what station in our lives we are at, each of us has his or her own personal challenges to deal with: whether as a child learning to walk and talk, as a teenager searching for his or her identity, as an adult starting a family and having to take care of it, or as a senior citizen increasingly confronted with illness and with his or her own transience. We are all on a journey through our own lives, marked by ups and downs, repetition, but also change. This is what I want to express with the title and music of my original composition "The Journey of Life". - เพลง

Первые 2 были соответственно фортопианной и оркестровой версией, а последнее было их гибридом и звучало обалденно. В произведениях New Horisont и The Journey of Life на Spotify также были созданы синглы, но в них не было их гибридной версии, что я и прошу исправить. Надеюсь вам стало понятнее

My newborn son was born 4 months ago. Somehow we realized early on that playing Patrik’s songs soothed him no matter how hard he was crying. We would start up one of our favorites (interstellar!) and he would stop crying immediately and focus in on the music. We would all be enjoying the music together at 3am in the morning those first few tough months. It was beautiful to see music touch someone just a few weeks old and made us realize that regardless of age music provides us a deep human experience that is hard to explain. We have worked through Patrik’s full catalogue since then and it has continued to be a way to bridge any difficult days. Thank you Patrik for your beautiful compositions! ich habe in meinen letzten Kommentaren viel über “Talent” und von meiner Vorstellung einer “magischen Grenze” gesprochen, die nur ganz wenige Menschen übertreten können. Im Nachhinein habe ich festgestellt, dass es sich dabei tatsächlich um ein hoch spannendes Thema handelt und dass die Talent-Forschung, gerade im Musik-Bereich, ziemlich viele interessante Erkenntnisse über uns Menschen bereithält. Ich bin davon überzeugt, dass die Auseinandersetzung mit dieser oft nicht wirklich greifbaren Thematik, gerade für Menschen, die gerne Musik machen, ziemlich wichtig ist. Ich habe für mich festgestellt, dass die Beschäftigung mit Musik überwiegend auf der Orientierung an “Idolen” basiert. Diese Orientierung kann dabei in den verschiedensten Bereichen stattfinden, sei es beim Musikhören, beim Üben bestimmter Techniken oder als kreative Inspiration für den eigenen “Schaffensprozess”. Ich erlaube mir mal, diese persönliche Grundannahme etwas zu verallgemeinern und könnte mir vorstellen, dass dieses Muster auf relativ viele Menschen zutreffen könnte, die sich gerne kreativ beschäftigen.
Diese Orientierung an bestimmten (oft populären) Personen ist in vielerlei Hinsicht bemerkenswert. Zum einen ist sie ein wahres Geschenk für all diejenigen, an denen sich orientiert wird. Zu denen gehörst zum Beispiel Du, Patrik. Für mich zählen aber auch noch Künstler wie Thomas Bergersen, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, David Hicken oder Billy Joel dazu. Diese Orientierung an “Idolen” hat dabei darüber hinaus, zumindest für mich, zwei konkrete Folgen. Zum einen die vollständige Einnahme durch das Werk der entsprechenden Künstler, oft mit beinahe transzendentalem “Verherungscharakter”. Zum anderen, die oft wesentlich später stattfindende Rückkopplung auf sich selbst, mit den Fragen “Kann ich das auch?" "Was ist eigentlich mein Talent?" Um diese Fragen verstehen zu können, ist es wichtig, sich zu überlegen, wie Menschen in einer konkreten Tätigkeit besonders gut werden. Bekannte Musiker oder andere Künstler eignen sich zur weiteren Erforschung dieses Phänomens besonders gut.
Talent, im Sinne der außergewöhnlich guten Beherrschung einer Tätigkeit, entsteht für mein Verständnis durch zwei Faktoren. Erstens, Spaß an der jeweiligen Tätigkeit, zweitens Können. Ich koche beispielsweise sehr gerne, bin aber von Natur aus ein eher ungeschickter Mensch und konfrontiere somit meinen Spaß am Kochen mit meinem “Eher-Nicht-Können” ;-) . Das hat zur Folge, dass der Spaß schnell verschwindet und die Gleichung nicht mehr aufgeht. Talent entfaltet sich jedoch genau dann, wenn man wiederum Spaß und Können verbindet. Dafür bist Du, Patrik, ein hervorragendes Beispiel. Man hört in Deiner Musik unglaublich gut raus, dass Du das liebst, was Du tust. Du bist immer mit vollem Engagement dabei und die Euphorie bleibt am Ende nicht nur bei Dir, sondern wird, zumindest für mein Empfinden, über die Bildschirme zum Zuschauer transportiert. Spaß hast Du also, das ist keine Frage. Nun hast du nicht nur großen Spaß an Musik, sondern beherrschst all ihre Facetten meisterhaft. Komponieren, Arrangieren, Virtuosität im Spielen, Videobearbeitung… Alles Gebiete, die kaum einer so gut beherrscht, wie Patrik Pietschmann. Spaß und Euphorie verschmelzen also mit unbegreiflichem Können. Das Resultat dieser Konvergenz sehen wir Monat für Monat. Qualität vom Feinsten und ein audiovisueller Genuss, der seines Gleichen sucht. Hier wird ganz deutlich, was passieren kann, wenn man seine Fähigkeiten mit seinen Interessen und Leidenschaften verbindet.
Natürlich muss zusätzlich erwähnt werden, dass das eine natürlich das andere bedingt. Spaß führt zu Motivation, Motivation zum Ausbauen des Könnens und diese Expansion der Fähigkeiten wiederum zu zusätzlicher Euphorie. Hat man diesen Kreislauf also erstmal ins Rollen gebracht, passiert das Meiste von ganz alleine. Wichtig ist, dass man im Leben für sich herausfindet, welche eigenen Fähigkeiten und Interessen man besitzt und welche sich verbinden lassen. Zu welcher ungemeinen Stärke das führen kann, treibt dein Werk, Patrik, natürlich auf die Spitze.
Ich kann Dir nur soviel sagen: Du bist ein wahrer Glückspilz. Du hast etwas erreicht, was kaum einer hat. Du bist nämlich in der Lage, Dich selbst zu verwirklichen. Was bedeutet das? Nun ja… Musik wirkt bei Dir quasi wie die Extraktion aller Gedanken und Emotionen von einer latenten, flüchtigen psychischen Ebene hin zu etwas Greifbarem. Durch Deinen Spaß und Dein Können hast Du die sehr seltene Fähigkeit, einen Teil von Dir in seiner Spürbarkeit zu steigern, Emotionen festzuhalten und durch das Komponieren sich selbst zu reflektieren. Das ist wichtig, um im Leben standhaft zu bleiben, im Reinen mit sich selbst zu sein und sich über das eigene Leben und die persönliche Entwicklung im Klaren zu bleiben. Deine Musik anderen Menschen zu präsentieren, ist also im Prinzip ein Akt des Mutes. Schließlich macht man einen Teil von sich selbst einer großen Masse zugänglich. Dafür möchte ich Dir wirklich danken, Patrik, und kann deine Nervosität vor jeder Veröffentlichung nun umso besser nachvollziehen.
“The Journey of Life” ist mal wieder absolutes Meisterwerk! Der Titel wird perfekt getroffen und die Musik glänzt (mal wieder) vor prunkvoller Schönheit.
Ich finde es allgemein bemerkenswert, wie Du Dir bei einer Deinen Kompositionen immer einen bestimmten Aspekt des Lebens herauspickst und Dir dann überlegst, wie man diesen Aspekt musikalisch umsetzen kann. So ist "The Journey of Life" natürlich nicht nur ein bestimmter Aspekt, sondern prinzipiell eine Zusammenfassung aller Lebensaspekte. Das Leben ist durchkreuzt von wunderschönen Momenten, gleichzeitig aber auch Situationen, die einen an den äußersten Rand drängen, von Phasen der Entwicklung, und Jahren der Stagnation. All dem liegt aber letztendlich das Motiv des Abenteuers und der damit verbundenen Reise zu Grunde. Denn genau das ist das Leben: eine Reise. Eine Reise, durchzogen von Bergen und Tälern, Sonne und Schatten, Komfort und Unsicherheit, Angst und Mut. All diese Aspekte in einer musikalischen Komposition unterzubringen und noch viel wichtiger, zusammenzuführen, ist eine unglaublich anspruchsvolle Aufgabe, die alles an Intelligenz und Kreativität abverlangt, was das Gehirn so zu bieten hat.
Du setzt das natürlich wieder grandios um! Das hohe Maß an Melodiösität nimmt einen an die Hand und könnte den Menschen dieses Lebens verkörpern. Das musikalische Arrangement, allen anderen Instrumente und Klänge nehme ich als die Lebensumstände dieses Menschen (der Melodie) war. Dieser Mensch und seine Melodie sind mal schnell, mal langsam, mal euphorisch und mal ganz ruhig… Er befindet sich auf einer Reise, das ist wunderbar zu hören! Man hätte den Titel also nicht besser treffen können, ausgezeichnet!
Die Musik beherrscht nicht Dich, sondern Du beherrschst die Musik, kannst kaum wie ein anderer mit ihr umgehen, sprichst ihre Sprache… Ich bin wirklich sehr dankbar, dass es Menschen wie Dich gibt, die mit ihrem Schaffen einen wertvollen Beitrag für die Kulturlandschaft und die Gesellschaft insgesamt leisten und sich ernsthaft über Qualität und Authentizität Gedanken machen. Das gibt es heutzutage viel zu selten!
Eine tolle Komposition, die den Freitag perfekt macht! 😊

Its crazy.... i played piano as a kid, about 10/11, and always had a love/hate relationship. I wanted to learn more but i was mainly playing gospel music for my church so i stopped playing. Here I am now, 34 years old, realizing THIS is what i wanted to play. Music that sounds fantastical and like im in a movie/videogame (my other passion). So, guess who picked up a new keyboard to start learning again!

Wie immer habe ich noch nicht alles gesagt... Oft fallen einem am nächsten Tag nochmal viel mehr Details auf, daher hier mein zweiter Kommentar 😉. Patrik, ich muss wirklich sagen, "The Journey of Life" ist ein ziemliches Brett! Gepaart mit deinen Visualisierungen, ist das einfach nur bombastisch! Ich habe mir schon oft überlegt, was eigentlich mein Lieblings-Video von dir ist... Ich denke, ich hab's gefunden 😉. Man, man, man... Was du hier rausgehauen hast, übersteigt mal wieder alles. In "The Journey of Life" wird einfach alles deutlich, was ich an deiner Arbeit so liebe. Die Musik erzählt eine Geschichte, die Klänge sind vielschichtig und majestätisch und die Art und Weise, wie du das mal wieder präsentierst, setzt dann allem noch die Krone auf. Du spielst mit so einer Lässigkeit und transportierst gleichzeitig Euphorie. Man kann an deinen Händen wirklich ablesen, wie viel Spaß du bei der Aufnahme gehabt haben musst!
Ich liebe es, wie du das Stück insgesamt immer mehr aufziehst. Am Anfang ist die Melodie noch sehr ursprünglich verpackt, ganz typisch für dich. Doch mit der Zeit ergibt sich ein wahres Klangspektakel. Es ist mir immer noch ein Rätsel, wie man in der Lage sein kann, sowohl kompositorisch als auch spielerisch solche Klänge zu erzeugen. Meine absolute Lieblingsstelle beginnt übrigens bei 3:35. Die rechte Hand spielt hier die klangliche Basis und dann kommen diese wunderbaren Melodietöne, mit Wechsel zwischen tiefen und hohen Tönen dazu. Wie du dann diese Melodie bei 3:49 noch mal wiederholst, sie jetzt aber in diese Oktaven einbettest und dann noch arpeggierst, klingt einfach nur genial und bildet für mich den absoluten Höhepunkt (3:55!!!).
Hier noch eine Sammlung an weiteren Stellen, die ich unglaublich finde:
- der Übergang bei 2:05 mit dem Spannungsaufbau durch deine typischen rhythmisierten Oktaven im Bass und die wahre Explosion, die darauf folgt, klingen fabelhaft!
- die Begleitung in der linken Hand bei 2:07 ist super interessant. Hier spielst du, eingebettet in diese Arpeggios, jeweils die Terz zur Melodie-Oktave in der rechten Hand, sehr cool!
- Was soll ich zu diesem gigantischen Arpeggio bei 2:28 noch groß sagen... 😉Weltklasse! Wie man das so spielen kann und vor allen Dingen auch noch mit der linken Hand zusammenkriegt... Da muss einfach soviel Übung drinstecken!
- 2:37 erinnert mich sehr an eine Sequenz aus deinem "Empire of Angels"-Arrangement. Hier hattest du auch links diese Oktaven gespielt und die Melodie rechts in Arpeggios eingebettet. Schon verrückt, wie du mittlerweile deine eigenen Stücke arrangierst 😉.
- diese mächtigen Oktaven bei 3:36 klingen wirklich gigantisch! Hier wird der Abenteuer-Aspekt des Lebens nochmal sehr deutlich!

Patrik, ich hör Dein Stück jetzt ungelogen seit zwei Tagen auf Dauerschleife... ich weiß nicht, ob das gesund ist, aber bei der Melodie kann ich gar nicht anders. Dieser Part ab 2:36 ist einfach episch, Gänsehaut pur. Eigentlich würd ich gern einen 2.000-Wort Aufsatz schreiben, wie gut ich Deine Komposition finde, aber ich wüsste keine Worte, die meine Emotionen bei diesem Stück auch nur annähernd beschreiben könnten. So ging es mir bis jetzt eigentlich nur bei Liedern von Hans Zimmer, und das soll etwas heißen...
Ich bin der Meinung, dass Du mit diesem Video ein neues Kapitel in Deinem Leben aufgeschlagen hast. Auch wenn wir jetzt noch nicht sagen können, was sich daraus entwickelt, aber ich denke, Du hast noch viel vor Dir in deiner "Journey of Life". In ein paar Jahren sind wir dann klüger.

My current favorite composers are Max Richter, Hans Zimmer, and Patrick Pietschmann, in no particular order.
This is a Hans Zimmer level of composition. Excellent stuff.

Ich habe mir, nachdem ich dieses Video zum ersten mal angesehen habe, auch nochmal die Orchestralversion angehört. Und dabei hatte ich die gleiche Gänsehaut wie an dem Tag, als ich das erste mal Two Steps From Hell gehört habe. Vielen Dank dafür. Ich bin ein Riesen-TSFH-Fan und du hast dieses Gefühl ebenfalls bei mir auslösen können. Das ist etwas ganz besonderes.

Going through some tough times right now, this is a piece that just sounds so perfect. It expresses how all of it feels right now, how difficult it is but still persevere. So full, so intense, yet so gentle and sensitive. So fragile and vulnerable, and still full of power. Things that cannot be discribed in words, but can be in the sound of this beautiful piece.

Du toppst dich von Stück zu Stück, vielen Dank für deine unübertreffliche Arbeit❤️ Ich kann dir meine Gefühle, die ich beim ersten Mal anhören gefühlt habe, gar nicht beschreiben… HIMMLISCH! Du bist und bleibst eine absolute Inspiration für mich! (Ohne dich wäre ich nicht an dem jetzigen Punkt, vermutlich hätte ich sogar aufgehört Klavier zu spielen (Wie schon bei Lasses Kommentar im letzten Video gesagt)
Zudem hast du es zum perfektesten Zeitpunkt released. (Zumindest habe ich es gestern erst gesehen) :D Ich hatte gestern Abend ein Konzert, wo ich dein Lied „The Way of Hope“ gespielt habe und „The Journey of Life“ hat mich richtig motiviert und mir Mut gemacht :) Ein Kommentar von einem kleineren Jungen davor beim Üben war: „Boah ich hatte Gänsehaut!“ Genau das hatte ich beim ersten Mal hören auch (wie bei all deinen Liedern)
