So, a slightly more polished edit this time. I hope you're all happy! The footage looks like it was smoothered with Vaseline because I messed around with the camera settings before we started recording. Next vid will look better. Probably. How's our sound though? Hopefully noticeably better. (Tom)
Get it in cinemas on Friday and Saturday nights and it would absolutely make a killing! Add merch: T-shirts, action figures (with interchangeable hats at jaunty angles). Michael Flatulence would recoup his money in weeks!
To be fair, $3m is a lot to invest in a washed up Irish dancer's ego, but it is a pretty tight budget for an action movie. After deducting Eric Roberts' pay packet and the massive hat budget there could not be much left for action sequences! Does not justify the terrible script, the thin derivative plot, the awful acting and the creepy sexuality, but I'd be inclined to give it a pass on the lack of action!
@@BadTimeBabble He does punch a man to death unconvincingly - more action than most Hollywood studios could manage on the budget! As you guys fairly comment, the cinematography looks expensive, and I would say the production accountant deserves an Oscar. I have two theories: 1. Flatley won the services of Eric Roberts in a drunken game of roulette. 2. The budget was blown shooting the first scene due to the unexpected expense of artificial rain in Ireland!
Does a movie need to have a theatrical release for you blokes to review it? There's a movie on TH-cam with the title "Toxic Obsession" (Run time 73 minutes) that is quite fascinating. Made right here in Perth, Western Australia on (presumably) an extremely small budget it has the same vibe as "Garth Merenghi's Dark Place" except that the humour is entirely unintentional. There is one man in particular who has a writing credit on IMDB and is listed as one of the producers of this film. This is pure speculation, but maybe he put up his own money for the project on the condition that he got the leading role in the movie? It's the only thing that can explain the end result : I.E. The other cast members are acting their hearts out while the main character (Brian) is almost completely failing to react to them. Also, (just like our friend Michael Flatley in "Blackbird") our emotionless protagonist is of course a real hit with the ladies, most of whom are half his age. The sound is good and the original music is great so, in spite of everything, there were some people involved in this production who clearly knew what they were doing. But then, we are left to wonder how a shot of the clapper board made it into the final edit of the film? You might really enjoy this one, but you'll probably need to be inebriated. (We say that like it's a bad thing.) Take a look and see if you think it's worth the effort to review it...th-cam.com/video/fLzXPpMuS88/w-d-xo.html
Oh we do not care about theatrical releases. We'll go as low as it takes! I've had a brief look at Toxic Obsession. It does look like something we'd watch for sure. It seems like there's definitely enough there to laugh and talk about so it had been added to the list! As for your previous Black Bird suggestion, we did have a lot of fun watching and discussing that film, so keep the recommendations coming. (Tom)
@@BadTimeBabble We found the Facebook Page for this one "Toxic Obsession Feature Film" and it seems that technically, it had a theatrical release. This FB post is from August 2021 -Thank you to all who showed up tonight for the screening of Toxic at the Backlot Cinema. Watch out for the online release coming soon on Rev on Demand xx. So we looked up the web page for the Backlot Cinema and it looks like some of the movie's scenes may have been shot in that cinema.
Little did I know at the start of this very entertaining video. I would be asked to subscribe very personally, being an ice cream man for the last 27years it felt like fate so I obliged
If Michael wanted to be in a Spy drama, why didn't he just create a new dance show, where all of the still living James Bond actors could have a dance-off with all the female dancers' from Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames and Celtic Tiger. He could have called it- ' Dance until Death (Do you part), or 'Dudes and Darlings'.😄
Firstly, it's great that there are absolutely no hard feelings over us recommending this movie to you and we are in complete agreement that we'll never mention it again. It's all water under the bridge, right? Secondly, we sent another recommendation to you via your Facebook page but as you haven't visited that page in more than a year, you probably won't see the message.

FYI, MF left Riverdance because he wanted full creative control. Thank Gawwd they wouldn't agree to it.
Your improved production values are duly noted. (We changed into our smoking jackets to watch this one.)
Michael Flately!!!!!!!! He is the dreamiest of retired secret agents!

I would say no to a Victor Blackley action figure actually….there might be some mileage in the idea 😂
Perhaps this was the only way he could show off his hat collection without looking like an odd duck about it?
It's certainly an expensive of doing it!
Danceblanca made me face palmca.
Danceblanca should have been the name. And dancing should have been his game. Unfortunately this is not that.

Would it be fair to say that the $3m is only tight for an action movie if it has action in it though….? 😂

Steven Segal would endorse this movie....
Only if he doesn’t have to get up….and there’s some cash in it…
I know it’s not reasonable given his age, but I was hoping we would see Michael dance in this movie. And I don’t mean some ballroom waltz.
I think injuries mean he can't anymore.
The female actresses struggled to keep a straight face in some scenes
You definitely get the sense that a lot of people were in on the joke….but not Michael… 😂

“Lord of the spies”
@@BadTimeBabblegood one ! Didn't think of that one !!😄
This is an 80's movie in the modern area, I would love more movies like these is hilarious
Fingers crossed for the sequel 🤞
3m doesn't get you what it used to do in films. Eric roberts must have a great life getting paid for films like this.
He’s living the ‘money for old rope’ dream!
FYI, MF left Riverdance because he wanted full creative control. Thank Gawwd they wouldn't agree to it.
To be fair, he did alright off Lord of the Dance…
he looks like the joker in batman the michael keaton version
That’s a good shout - he even has the smile nailed for it….which is impressive given he’s prosthetic free 😂

Thank you! We do try 😜
Have you seen Till Forever a movie b y Michael Flatley?
We haven’t, but as it’s only 15 minutes long we’ll put it on the list!
Guy in the middle sounds and behaves like an 8 year old girl.
I tried.
Damn, I was hoping my strong masculine facial hair would have at least aged me up to 14!
Fun
Thanks!
