Can you make a short guide on what talents you would suggest for pack leader mythic+? I assume that pack leader takes sic' em so the talent choice between flanking strike, grenade juggler, and sulfur-lined pockets isn't as clear. Cheers!
I've just converted from bm to survival. I have one question. Does sulphur lined pockets work without a bow or gun? It's not clear. It says you have a chance to fire arcane shot, but arcane shot needs a ranged weapon.....very confusing.

Hej Azerothian quick question about our tier set. Why go for 4 set bonus when raptor strike is our lowest prio ability in both ST and aoe and most set items dont have mastery on them. For a m+ players perspective wouldnt it be better to uptimize stats and just go for the 2 set that buffs bombs? Thx in advance shout out from Denmark
@@mps7962 skud ud til Danmark. If you have a lot of great mastery-heavy off pieces, it can be worth dropping 4pc for some characters. Usually not, though, and using 4pc is still bis. Never underestimate the value of prio and single target damage in m+

When talking about bombrardier "empowered" ES yoou say it should be "tipped". What would you say is an ok amount? 1 is ok, or you want 3 stacks of "tipped" for that always ?
@@13Sabahudin There is no such thing as "amount" of tip. You can only consume 1 tip at a time. If you have 3, it'll still just consume 1 and leave you with 2 remaining.
I personally enjoy using sulfur shots since it can give you 4 explosive shots in quick succession but it's probably not worth it for the times you blast it off on a pack that's close to dying. I have question about Pack Leader. If you assume that Howl of the Pack was active during Coordinated Assault instead of Vicious Hunt and Pack Coordination, would Pack Leader have more viability? It seems to me like that would be more valuable.
is it REALLY worth it taking "Viper's Venom" over "Mongoose Bite" ? On packs I rarely have to press Raptor Strike and if that happens it is for like 2-3 globals On bosses, this happens more often, so I am guessing Mongoose Bite "should" be better with the Mongoose Fury stacking buff. You have any input on this?
I want to try Surv but I just cant seem to get a staff. I have the myth bow from Sikran, so even when I do finally get a heroic staff, I'll be dealing with the fact that it will be lower ilvl than my bow.
I'm wondering what you think about not running viper's venom and outland venom to be able to run both sulfur-lined pockets, flanking strike and exposed flank? I've been trying this out since i feel like it often is hard to keep 100% serpent sting uptime in lots of AOE situations, and it almost seems my damage ends up being higher. I also hope they fix exposed flank soon to make this even more viable. If i sim these talents they are within 1% of the "optimal" talents, and in real life situations it would be even better because it doesn't force you to use raptor strike in aoe pulls.
Sims do not use Raptor Strike on AoE for Serpent Sting. They will rotate Raptor targets to spread it, but that's worse priority target damage anyway and almost never done in practice. And this does not solve any of the drawbacks with Sulfur-Lined Pockets.

@@timendil In my recent Dawnbreaker+16, that talent alone was responsible for over 5% of my total boss- and priority-target damage. That is insane value for a single talent point. It's similar to the value of Flanking Strike, Fury of the Eagle.. 4% of the value was from raw Serpent Sting damage, and another 1% or so was from the crit damage it gave me via Outland Venom.

Icy-Veins (my guide) and Wowhead are the only reputable sources of Survival Hunter information that holds up to scrutiny from top hunters. If Icy-Veins and Wowhead differ, 99% of the time it is because it's so close that it doesn't matter and we simply have differing opinions on some nuances. Every decent Sentinel guide will tell you Mastery is the best stat - after that, the stats are so close that it doesn't matter and that is probably what you are seeing. Otherwise idk. All of that said, aside from knowing the best stat at a glance, stat "priorities" are kind of useless and using them to guide your gearing choices is far worse than simming yourself, which has a steep but short learning curve and will set you up for optimizing your character for life.

Ohhhhhhh thats why most people are using the passive instead of flanking on Archon even thou you use Flanking strike.
