My sister is in the hospital and I've been sicker than a dog all week so not much going on here, of course I seem to sell at least 1 thing a day so I have to get up and go to the PO, lol. That Franciscan pattern really shot up! I've had several pieces in my stock and check prices every couple years and nothing like this! Guess it's time to dig them out! You should have seen my jaw drop when you showed the Kliban! One of my favorite ever, I had tee shirts that I bought in the 70's, collected mugs, sheets, everything. The last thing I found, other than the bed sheets, was a wastebasket and matching Kleenex box cover and that was many years ago. Kliban was very smart about marketing and oversaturation of the market. He was very careful about his licensing partners and savvy about contracts. This is why you don't have to worry about re-pops of merch. He/his estate keeps a tight hold. They could have told me each mug was $10 and Id still have grabbed them. That SF one in the box is really popular. The singing cat's song goes "loves to eat them mousies" then something about tiny feet. Really testing my memory here, that was one of my tees. The other was the "Sex, cats and rock and roll" I've not been this envious in a long time, glad it was you who found them.

Sometimes the hardware for a bell pull is worth more than the pull. If that's just a tapestry/jacquard fabric chances are a needle pointer would buy the hardware for their finished pull. The needlepoint ones with good hardware can sell for 4 figures. "Love to eat them mousi s, mousies what I love to eat. From them heads down to them tiny feet". I think those are the rest of the lyrics!
I knew that was a Dawn doll. I had a set of them and I believe they had a stand that allowed them to sit on top of a 45 record (they each had their own). That’s why the holes in the feet…to stick the stand into. I also had a Flatsy doll. Memories of a 62 year old.😉

You took me down memory lane. I had the Barbie in the bathing suit. You reminded me I had a Barbie whose scalp rotated so her hair changed from blonde to brunette. I haven’t thought about her in decades. Sell the round frames with magnets perhaps.
The dinnerware would have me feeling week in the knees! Just crazy! I might still have a KILBAN mug for sale, but a simple heart one. I have other dinnerware I really love that I’m holding back on, for home use. Same type of color way, but not spacey. Fantastic finds. I did allow myself a shopping trip this week, but no more shopping for me. I need to list or purge.

Years ago, when I had just started thifting I found the exact same Starburst pattern. I didn't know what it was at the time but recognized the atomic mcm pattern. Just call me stupid.....I left it in the store because I was a newbie to reselling. Two days later I went back to the thrift store and it was of course gone. Lesson learned. Congrats to you. Aww man...we've all done that! I left a silverplate platter once because so many are not that great. Well it was a nice Art Deco one and I think it would've sold well. (Looked up later). It's the missed vintage the haunts us!! lol

I have to tell you my 17 year old Labrador/ Dalmatian mix’s name was Posh. 😊 About 20 years ago I gifted a similar Tree of Life wall art to my bestie. She still has it in her living room. Love the Starburst. I have only ever come across one piece and it was a small ladle. I sold it for 50.00 Canadian. This was a few years ago. Back in the day, my 2 daughters had the Cat Sheets on their beds, I wish I still had those! Lol You have a nice haul of Vintage Goodness!

Great finds! I never knew the Franciscan wear sold for that much. I’ve seen pieces over the years and never picked them up. I just found the same Dansk casserole and matching pot this week in blue but I left them behind because they had chipped edges. You said yours has some chips so in your experience do they sell that way? My husband who is a retired chef never wants to buy those pieces for personal use because he says they will continue to chip so I assumed no one else buys them online. Maybe I’m wrong 🤔 My best finds this week were mainly modern but thanks to your videos I look quite a bit on the dish aisles now. This past week I found a collectible airline advertising mug, 3 Vintage danish modern cordial glasses, a vintage made in Finland decanter and a set of foley wileman lunch plates from the turn of the century that look like they might fetch around $350. Oh and a vintage cheese slicer lol!

My best MCM buy was from a Salvation Army thrift store in southern British Columbia. I walked in and spotted a vintage teak Danish modern love seat in good condition. The cushions were original. I walked straight to the counter and bought it for $20 Canadian (about $15 USD). I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on 80s vintage/collectibles. Are there any or was it a decade of questionable taste best forgotten?
Candice from shed flips, Louisiana did a Deep dive, on all kinds of those, interesting dolls they have a guy they buy stuff from... the secret source with cute legs using ...Google Lens... lots of work but it was very profitable... unfortunately eBay comps only go back only go back a few months... My mother ran a daycare, I have a Vinyl case of paraplegic pieces ages & colors of Barbies... maybe I should just put it up for a long auction, with a high reserve price... otherwise you're looking at hours of work...Laxvespa-LosAngeles
I had found a few pieces of the Franciscan Starburst. However, the pattern was very worn so I passed. Do you think there would be an interest in them as a placeholder in a collection? Maybe less than 1/2 of what a good piece would sell for.

It's worth a shot I guess if you sourced them cheap enough and thought the asking price worth your time. I could see them still selling.
