I respect players who can actually get off a heal through spells, if that's your build more power to you, and if you need to drink to refill your FP, I can tolerate that too, after all you shouldnt desparage a melee build for disengaging to recharge their stamina, and thats much harder to punish. But if you're drinking to refill HP and stall the inevitable, you're getting a Point Down. _Everyones entitled to their playstyle, _*_but not every playstyle is entitled to respect._*
All builds that make battle boring are disrespectful builds. Just think of all those spam builds or even worse those players who spam you with everything and then start running away throughout the arena and you not only have to chase them the whole time but you also have to stay focused to dodge, how boring!

Surely healing to full health never leads to a comeback and people should immediately give up after receiving 1-2 hits.

@@sasaki999pro Most of my builds are light roll. The ability to disengage from the fight better than medium roll is one of the trade offs to defense, why shouldn't I use it to heal? Besides, it's not like your high defense is going to let you tank damage from one shot builds, sorcerers or whenever you get sleep/madness/bleed proced. As for comebacks, people who spam the same attack/spell are always going to have more of a disadvantage in the long run if the battle prolongs more than they're expected to see patterns in their behavior and exploit them more properly. Or maybe the opponent may simply make too many mistakes in a row eventually.

no I dont think thats the case. Its pretty obvious that its intertwined with there build considering, despite there entire build being godskin, they have a random heal ability that works really well with the aoe spell they use. Its just not good manners to heal in arena which has been an unspoken rule since pvp was a thing in fromsoft games.
I respect them wanting to heal because honestly seeing how one of my magic glintblades take out 1/4th of their HP they are going to need all the healing they can get.

I’m starting to think elden ring players are bigger gate keepers then any dark souls players are. Before healing in PvP was the aggressors fault, now it’s the healers problem since heals take longer to pull off then chugging. You all need to get some fresh air since you all keep complaining about a build you don’t like.

Elden Ring was doomed to have a stronger gatekeeping phenomenon ever since it got as popular as it did. New players come in, they love the game, they get good but they lack the respect and years-long feeling of community in Fromsoft's gaming history so they just give in to calling people trash when they're better. It was very predictable. Older players returning from Dark Souls pvp and the like are humbler, mostly due to experience and belonging in a smaller community.

healing from spells is fine as it leads you very open to attacks and interruptions. there's a reason why healing flasks cant be used and healing spells can be. and if someone finds a way to heal using spells without getting hit then they deserve that heal

Well healing is a fair part of the game so 🤷🏽♂️. Can’t expect everyone to play by rules that don’t actually exist just because you’re used to it. That’s like expecting someone to say bless you when you sneeze or to speak to you just because you say hello. It’d be nice in your opinion because it’s what you would do or what you would like for them to do but realistically no one has to adhere to us or indulge us.

I don't quite get what's so bad about light rolling. Giving up basically all poise and negation, heavy weapons and even soft swapping to some degree in exchange for a little more distance seems like a fair trade.

A poise monster will only negate daggers by forcing them to count poise, a hyperarmor queen will demand positioning of non-hyperarmor weapons to punish mashing Unless you are playing double spears, HTS, or Halberd, you have NO chance of engaging a lightroller who double rolls backwards when a single pixel moves in the screen, it basically stops you from playing the game, so yeah, I think it's a big deal Besides damage negation is not a problem in this game, there's so many ways of making yourself tanky, that if you are squishy with lightroll "for the drip" you just dont know how to protect yourself imo

I tended to roll forward or with the opponent to close distance since I wasn't very good at spacing. My win-loss ratio still remained pretty poor so I assumed it didn't appear broken or unfun to the opponent.

To be Fair, you're using Blessings Boon. Albiet not as good as the HEALING incantations Although IT IS your own fault for not rushing and punishing the cast time to cast the healing incant and wanting to stay in Anime Mode. Plus you're using Blessings Boon incant, and dual wielding Nagakiba's, one of long ranged weapons that are pretty fast.

I once had a person down to low hp 5 times and he just kept healing. He won by lowering my hp gradually. I then decided to add a healing incantation to my memorized spells. I only use it whenever my opponent does (hilarious tbh), since I win using legitimate skill.
The best way to fight healers is to play as aggressive as possible with something like the katar, don't let them have breathing room. You'll know they are going for a heal when they start running and panicking. a lot of healers stop fighting when they try to heal so you can punish very easily just by roll catching, and if they use a heal just punish with something like beat roar, holy slash, or storm blade rebuff and reapply pressure.
yes 100% you shouldnt give them any breathing room and catch them with crouch attacks or poke attacks, but this time i wanted to see if i could deal with him without being hyper aggressive but thanks anyways 😁😁🙏🙌

Your opponent probably thinks you are too passive. You hold unsheathe the entire time. Your opponent is definitely going to heal just to annoy you.

Plus you're using Blessings Boon incant, and dual wielding Nagakiba's, one of long ranged weapons that are pretty fast.

I like when players heal just for me to come in from behind and skewer them on my fire knights greatsword.
I once had a person down to low hp 5 times and he just kept healing. He won by lowering my hp gradually. I then decided to add a healing incantation to my memorized spells. I only use it whenever my opponent does (hilarious tbh), since I win using legitimate skill.

The best way to fight healers is to play as aggressive as possible with something like the katar, don't let them have breathing room. You'll know they are going for a heal when they start running and panicking. a lot of healers stop fighting when they try to heal so you can punish very easily just by roll catching, and if they use a heal just punish with something like beat roar, holy slash, or storm blade rebuff and reapply pressure.
yes 100% you shouldnt give them any breathing room and catch them with crouch attacks or poke attacks, but this time i wanted to see if i could deal with him without being hyper aggressive but thanks anyways 😁😁🙏🙌
