The fight the seemed close because it was. Judges had it 1 round split and one of the judges had Rolly up. 3-2 either way before the stoppage. I had Tank winning though.
He knows he can knock pretty much anyone out. It would be a mistake for him to immediately exploit the openings and mistakes the opponent is making. You gotta trick them into continuing to put themselves in a spot where they think they are safe but are absolutely not. So the only time they realize the mistake is when their waking up on the ground. I hoped that despite the trash talk Rolly would internally respect Tanks boxing skill and ability, but it's clear he didn't at all. If you rewatch the sixth round its clear Tank was looking for basically that exact counter from the beginning of the round. Rolly threw the exact same 2 - 1 combo for the whole fight and in the sixth he threw it with his hands low and chin high *twice in a row*. And the second time is when Tank slept him. Like Tank said, he literally walked straight into it. You can tell Rolly still doesn't get it either, because when they asked him what he thought he had the most sucess with he specifically talked about how he had been getting Tank all night with that 2 -1 combo. Dude was completely setup and outclassed to the point he doesn't even realize it.
The official judges had the fight close… one judge even had rolly up 3-2 and the other two had it 3-2 tank so the fight was close. First 5 rounds pretty boring tho
