Another method is to melt the wax first and use a new, unused paint brush or a silicone basting brush to paint on the wax. This gives better control over how much wax you brush on. To much wax makes the wraps and bags crease and the wax breaks off.
@@karroloberg2606 I don’t, but I will add it to my shop this week for a download. I’ll come back and comment here once it’s up! Update: here's the link for downloading: theleap.co/creator/ammieharris/digital_download/beeswax-bread-bag-labels
Thank you, Ammie, for your quick response. You have on the labels instructions how to use it and how to clean it etc. It was on 3 labels with the gift.
@@happynicoleg3254 hi I’m so glad it was helpful! I’m still using these over a year later and still love them! I just used regular cotton fabric. I think I linked the ones I used In the description box of this video!
Hello Ammie, I just saw your video I like it. Me and my granddaughter would do this project for her school. I like how you presented the product as a gift. I have a question can you please send me the note on how to use and care about the wraps? I would appreciate it. Thank you,
Sure! I’m so glad y’all enjoyed! That’s a wonderful idea for a school project! I hope y’all enjoy making them together! Here’s the note I used attached to our gifts! __________________________ This beeswax bag will keep your contents in optimal condition, without drying it out. Store your bread in the bag and roll the top of the bag down, pressing or sealing with a clip. Once your bread bag is empty, just rinse it using warm soapy water and allow it to air dry. It’ll be clean and ready for your next loaf! _________________________
It does pretty well as it melts as long as you evenly spread the little pellets. That’s why I would take it out and kind of spread it as it melted every 5-10 min as needed. But it did pretty good without my spreading!

Hello I loved this video it’s really helpful cause I’m looking to make my own bee wax bags - but what fabric do you use???

@ perfect thank you so much for replying back 😊😊
@ you’re welcome!
Do you find you like using only bees wax? Have you tried adding any oils or pine resin?
Wow! Wonderful gift idea. Thank you for sharing. Just curious, does it not affect the taste or smell of bread? Thank you 😊
So glad you enjoyed the video! And no off taste or smell at all!

Thanks for sharing! How well does the beeswax ‘even out’ on the surface? So it covers everything?

Do you wax the inside and outside?
Just the outside and it will soak through when it melts
How do you hang it or rest it to dry?
i just stood them upside down and let them dry over a towel
Where is your recipe for the bread?
@@donnabuck9621 it’s in the description below the video! It’s not my original recipe, but one I linked!
