Marvel just isn't the same without him he was always the central character that connected all the others now. Without him, everything seems so messy nothing is tied together anymore they need to find a new central character to tie everything hulk and thor ars technically the only characters left that has that central link between most characters one of them has to take that center role ironman was in almost every movie that would have to happen with thor or hulk and since Chris Hemsworth wants to be able to spend time with his family hulk will have to be that central character
