Your Alfa is stunning. The condition is incredible, which the mileage of course places a big part, but i love the originality of the interior and exterior and that it's a phase 1 car, which are just not around anymore. Definitely show worthy and that engine sounds fantastic. My 156 was one of all time favourite cars, perhaps one of the best cars ever made, and yours is a fantastic example of the breed, which is great to show what these cars should be like, with so many now gone. As with many mainstream cars, (and the 156 was actually quite reliable and usable!) they've just disappeared from sight, and only well preserved models will be aorund. They were so cheap used i think many were scrapped when the bills got too much. Great video and hopefully will see the 156 in the flesh at some point!
Having the exact same seat creak on my 2003 Twin Spark wagon, sometimes it is there and sometimes not, LOL! It has now done 266k km. What a beautiful red 156, I love those seats and the wooden wheel. Enjoy.
@@DoctorP131 I wonder what causes the creaking. I think I will see if I can solve it at some point. I love a sport wagon and remember the TV commercial with Catherine Zeta Jones!
Had two of these, and one t spark. The second V6 was in this colour and it had the 16 inch tele dial wheels. I had GTA side skirts fitted, brakelight spoiler and regretably had lowering springs fitted, absolutely ruined the handling/ride quality. Black leather interior with the fake carbon vibre (which looked nice I thought). It was a '99 car' T' reg, bought it from a jaguar dealer in kent back in 2008 for £1500, only had 61,000 miles on it. Sold it to a mate two years later for £1000, haven't a clue where it ended up, still have photos of it, beautiful car.
To be honest that looks mint !!! I have a 156 with 155,000 miles and it’s awful no reliability at all and just asks for more and more and more and zero enjoyment
Sounds fabulous, it's the sound I want also - does it have a special exhaust ? Sorry I skipped a lot, I have the same engine, V6 2.5 24V and will transplant it into a Lancia and it has to sound, at least, like yours, crisp burbly, un-mistakingly. This is also lovely sounding th-cam.com/users/shortsMOn5DcBdNeQ?si=P6vH4NxdZgXHUqRP
@@skioet Hello the 156 is fitted with a Wizard exhaust system from the cat back. This 156 only has one catalytic converter which helps with the exhaust note. I think you would need to get a custom exhaust for you application. Which Lancia will it be in ?

Lovely example. Appreciate your reluctance to change the wheels/stance
Greetings from St Louis MO USA! I have a 1988 Alfa Romeo Milano Gold Automatic! Yes Automatic 2.5 Busso V6 with Straight exhaust sounds amazing!

Music on point and glad the footage recorded turned out ok! And she sounds amazing
I also have an 156 2.5 saloon in red with the wooden interior… the sound, looks and handling is fantastic
For me the sound is virtually unmatchable to anything else on the 2.5
@ Could not agree more
loved the music at the start! Great video Tom
@@KevMk3 cheers mate when can we feature the swift ??
