Here’s the real benefit of the e-reader white display: once the info is displayed it takes _no battery power_ to continue to display the info! Power is only used when updating the display. The TFT and other color displays must consume power to display anything.
I have to say that you really do get what you pay for. RigExpert makes awesome analyzers and they are my go-to. My NanoVNA is neat but can’t hold a candle to RigExpert.
I own an AA-35 Zoom and my only regret was not saving a few extra $$$ to get something that handles higher frequencies. This AA-500 just might end up in my stocking this year!

Great products by RigExpert! Too bad they are really expensive in Canada when purchasing and including dollar exchange. That's the problem with most ham products. You usually have paid almost double when it's delivered to your door in Canada. So many great products that are out of reach. Great video & great channel. Love your reviews!

So little difference between the "Stick 500" and the "Stick Pro" - $400 vs $450 on one web site.
I'd struggle to pick between them honestly.
I like the crispness and readability of the E-Ink display...but would i like the LCD in lower light?
The native SO-239 connector hooks up to most things... but when I'm building / tuning serious UHF gear I'd prefer to have the N connector without having to adapt to it so as to improve readings and minimise losses.
2 very very good choices really, and very nice to have choice.
My AA-600 is >6 years old now.. and faultless... and i'm also broke... so a choice i don't even have to worry about... lol !

I picked up one of these based on your review and I'm loving it! So much easier and convenient to use than the NanoVNA I have.

Excellent Products... I have the old AA-35 & now Stick 230
It's great to put the Stick 230 in the shack at the Radio end of the coax,
Then use the Android app out in the Garden to see what happens when tweaking the antenna
I find it works to about 15~20M distance, fine for my UK Shoebox House & Garden.

@RigExpert_Ukraine I have been playing my new 500.
      I'm really liking it.
I get it to work on my laptop, but can't seem to get it to populate in the android app.q

Unfortunately the Blue tooth feature doesn't work on IOS. Hope the guys at RE will solve that issue. Lots of people have iPhones. Otherwise AA-500 is an excellent tool.

For some reason I am unable to pair my 500 to my a54 android phone. I can very well be missing a step.

It’s amazing how little info is available online and in the manual, re: calibration. Is calibration of the stick 500 required? There is reference to a kit and having it prepared in advance, without any further guidance. Thoughts?

The rig expert 500 itself is okay, but the ant scope2 software has about one page of documentation in the four pages that they called the manual!?
The rig expert company itself will not respond to any emails!!
I bought this unit because it would connect to my computer, now that it's connected there is no manual for it worth a damn and there is no support from the manufacturer!
**" I have to wonder how much this company is paying these TH-cam people to promote this device? It's an absolute useless paperweight without documentation and support!

You can purchase better but you will not pay more than rigexpert a number of countries especially Australia. Professionals do not use these units.

Eric I had to buy the AA2000 Zoom after I watched your videos last year. What an incredible tool! SO MUCH easier to use than the Nano VNA.
Has Rig Expert told you anything about their new rotor yet? de WS4K Eric Palm Bay.
