Yes, you will still be able to buy a Versa 3 from third party vendors (while supplies last). Just to be more clear, when I use the term "discontinued" I am referring to the Versa 3 no longer being available to purchase directly from Fitbit. For example, Versa 2 is not discontinued as you can still buy it directly from Fitbit (and it will likely stick around for some time still, as their budget smartwatch offering). I have a versa 3 Not much impressed with the versa 4,the only thing l like about it is that it's a bit thinner,for everything else l would say you go and get the 3 for less money cause for one or two more upgrades makes no sense to pay a higher price.
Currently, the make and receive phone calls feature is not available. If/when it become available, you just need your phone nearby. There is not a cellular version of any Fitbit.
Do you mean this same style of announcement video? If so, maybe? I don't get sent products before launch like the big tech channels do, so I've always assumed people would rather watch a video where the person already has it in hand (in this case, no one has the new Fitbits in hand yet). And, I assume the big tech channels will already have the apple watch series 8 in hand on the day of announcement (which makes it hard to compete...). Let me know if you would still be interested in a "Things to Know" style of video for the Apple Watch, even if I don't have it in hand on announcement day. I will be purchasing the Apple Watch Series 8 with my own money, and I plan to post videos of my unboxing, setup, review, comparisons, and other guides. So definitely stay tuned for those videos 😊
My versa 3 died after 1.5 years. I bought the versa 4 it doesn't even compare to versa 3. Versa 4 doesn't have 3rd party apps like Starbucks, I can't broadcast through Google mini with alexa and you can't see your weekly stats on it. Only through the phone app. Probably won't buy a fitbit again after this one dies...
Sometimes companies do this so they can have a “budget-friendly” option. Apple does this as well (you could buy a new Series 3, but not a new Series 4, 5, or 6 directly from Apple).
@@wearablewhisperer Yeah. It's annoying though. I traded in my Versa 2 and used the credit to buy a Luxe and I'm on my third device in 5 months because of battery issues. My options were to get a discounted Versa 2 or Charge 5 or a free Luxe. I wasn't interested in the Charge 5, but I also didn't want to get the watch I JUST HAD given it's nearly 2 generations old now.

I agree! I was not a fan of the haptic button at all. Will be nice to have apps in a vertical list instead of swiping 4 at a time, too.

It is very odd. Hopefully it is just some mistake/omission. Only time will tell...

Same here. I'm not liking the 4 over the 3. Fit it to be a newer model it's very plain also.
