I Thought Aluminum Was Supposed to Be Hard? - Ep. 2 of My Satisfactory Small Town

  • Episode 2 in my Turboville factory let’s play mini-series in Satisfactory Update 7. I am making Turbo Motors in a factory that looks like a small town. This video will show you how to make an efficient aluminum build with alternate recipes. I also share a bunch of tips and tricks to help you hide your conveyor belts, your power, and all your logistics.
    It also shows a cool iron and steel ingot factory playthrough that will fuel the rest of the factory.
    The high school design is an awesome Satisfactory factory design. It has a basketball court, an office, a loading dock, 5 classrooms, parking, plus a ton of Lizard Doggo school spirit.
    The factory outputs 1080 aluminum scrap and about 70 ingots each of iron and steel. The whole factory will output turbo motors, cooling devices, and a ton of heat sinks. I can't wait for the next video in the series where I build a neighborhood and figure out trucks for the first time.

    Refreshing approach to Satifactory, really enjoyed watching this and picked up a few tips along the way. Good job.

    lol I'm on T8 in this game
    Zero trucks
    Zero trains
    Zero drones
    I belt the F outta everything and literally run around the map all day. But my world is like a 1 and yours is 100,000!!! Plus you are super entertaining just to listen to :)

      Hey I'm on Tier 8 too! That is actually awesome. I think you should keep it belts only and finish it off that way. It should be an achievement!
      I actually wouldn't mind taking a look at your save...It might make a good video! Thanks for the kind words and I have more where this came from

    The building itself seriously reminds me of my HS days except yours is far more organized and condensed than the sprawling mess I attended. The gymnasium is just so spot on though that you nail it. Also I just want to say of the various machine designs the resource well is one of my absolute favorites. Looks awesome in every build when I see it featured. The particle accelerator is very, very cool too but maybe it's because of RTS nostalgia the resource extractor is my fave....

      @DrLootCrate  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally agree! I love the resource well extractor.
      Thanks the kind words on the design. There definitely would be more classrooms, but I needed to save some machines for the neighborhood designs later!

      @@DrLootCrate I've watched a bit out of order because I stumbled on your channel by luck. But I find this kind of build so interesting because you challenge yourself with the theme. It makes the series very interesting, and sets it apart from a lot of the build watch along series that are out there.

      Yeah, but it is so bulky that it would take up too much of the front of the school.
      Plus a real school has their loading dock in the back

    nice im building an aluminium factory right there too... first playthrough is 500 sheet and 2025 casing enough ?

    • @DrLootCrate
      @DrLootCrate  ปีที่แล้ว

      Great spot for one for sure. It depends on what recipes you are using them for and what scale you build at and how fast you want to finish the space elevator
      I don’t actually know how much I build across my multiple aluminum processing areas, but I normally build what I need for the factory at hand, rather than a big pile and distribute it from there.

      @@DrLootCrate thanks man. almost finished with it just some logistic left and I am finished. hell a lot of work bringing all the resources in. i use max efficiency recipes in terms of bauxite means sloppy alumina electrode scrap and the normal recipe in the foundry for the ingots... regret using sloppy alumina now cause I need a lot of quartz for 3200 ingots but I used cheap silica so it should be fine. also I use the alternate for the casing just for the addition of 75 copper each so that's no problem. just left with bringing the silica and copper over all loadbalanced already just have to build a fuel plant for power and some petroleum coke and I'm finished with the build. love ur videos and ur creative approach to the game will be starting to do something similar and not just focus on function.

    • @DrLootCrate
      @DrLootCrate  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mausplunder5313 that is pretty hardcore all in one location! I have realized that I am not going to use all of the resources on the map, so I accept some inefficiency in recipe choices to help me efficiently use my time. I am inherently lazy, so I would use pure aluminum ingot to cut out quartz entirely. You use more bauxite per ingot, but that is a lot of pain saved.
      I started out the same way…all function and no form. But now I am having just as much fun on getting stuff to look good. Start simple and go from there!
