Replacing the wiring loom is one of the best things you can do if restoring your bike. Lucas is remaking lots of original looms with correct colouring codes
So did you totally disconnect the assimilator and do away with the wiring or just leave it in place or leave the wired and tape the ends up Be nice to know I’m fed up with this unit n my mk 3
So just had a chat with Ash and he said “Yes, I just left it place and insulated the ends. When I next have the bike apart I will remove the connectors for the assimilator.” Hope that helps.
Just spoke Ash and this is his response, "I use a Twenty20 compact H4 as my headlight is already converted to accept H4 bulbs. The reason I use this one in the MK3 is that it is the same size as a standard H4 bulb and has no heatsink to melt the large amount of wiring in the MK3 headlamp shell, it also fits the restricted space behind the headlamp shell on the MK3 as well."
Hi, so, when time and funds allow it the speedo will be swapped to electronic versions, in the meantime Ash isn't that worried as it is an 850 and unlikely to rev anywhere near as high as the 750 can rev up to.

What is the battery being charged at when ticking over with lights on?
Hi Matt, so it's the same 14.3V, as it uses LED headlamp and LED tail light board. Hope that helps
Are there ‘drop in’ LED lights which are compatible with the original connectors (H4 and whatever the tail light fitting is)?
